She got cop privilege at the scene. I'd say she's had anything but since.

If I'm not mistaken, Cruzot served as a criminal judge for a couple of decades in district court, winning elections running as both a democrat and republican, depending on which way the political pendulum swung. I don't know that's he's beholden to any ideology other than his own. In other words, if he's a true believer, then he's doubly dangerous with what he's saying because he won't back down out of principle, no matter how much the police union complains.

Like I said, he thinks he is right and won't listen to the people who have more information than him. That is the issue. He's one of those morons who believes that if 19 percent of the population is black, only 19 percent of the people in jail should be black or the system is racist.

So is the white prosecutor claiming she received white privilege?

Bocephus, you've been almost as insufferable on the last several pages as Ida was earlier in the thread. Good grief.

10 years in protective custody. Yikes.

What do people getting 10 years actually serve these days?

Same here. I think murder conviction with a light sentence was the appropriate outcome.

Throw her in gen pop for the next 5. If she keeps her nose clean, and shows remorse let her out on parole in 5.

But I'd bet against her being a model inmate or sympathetic to a parole board.

There you go. Called murder conviction and 10-15 when this started. Looks like that is where it landed. I think that's fair.

If you want to subject some prison guards to constant acts of attempted and possibly successful violence, then put her in gen pop.

She is murderer. She should get thr same treatment/protections as any other murderer.

Keeping her in protective custody does more to make the lives of the guards easier and safer.

Just my gut. She never struck me as sympathetic, just someone trying to game the system. And based on her text messages/social media posts I dont see her ever thinking she was wrong.

Putting someone you know would stand a good chance of getting killed in gen pop is a puss move. If we want to kill them, then we should kill them with the verdict and sentence. Letting someone else take care of the business that we don't have the stomach for is a puss move.
