How can you just **** on a powerful moment like that? And further, what gives him the right to decide how the victims's brother deals with this? **** that guy

In other words he's guilty of the racism no one talks about, which is the idea that if "you're [RACE] then you must think as I do."powerbelly said:Tariq feels like black people from other countries who are first-generation Americans or foreigners aren't his version of acceptable African Americans are hurting his political goals by not sharing his same views.ElephantRider said:Guitarsoup said:

That man just humbled me. I know I wouldn't be able to get up there show her that kind of compassion, though watching him I wish I'd have that kind of strength and courage. That's an incredible testament to his brother and the kind of man he was. That's the face of Christ, and I'm dumbstruck over it. Wow.

I am white and think the sentence was too light. He will never have children or grandchildren. I think she should be locked up for enough years to make sure she also is robbed of the joys she took from him.
But I am not on the jury and have to accept that they looked at all the evidence and thought this was the best punishment.
She just is not a very nice person and I would be really surprised if prison improves that.

That's why I hate social media; it gives a platform to people who don't need to have one.
Most of the people that are upset on twitter are morons. They don't understand that the jury handed down the sentence, and are slamming the judge as a "race traitor" for giving a lenient sentence. People are saying awful things about the brother and the judge.
I've seen a ton of comments, even from people I really like and respect about how there are two Americas and this is another white princess getting off while a black man would have had the book thrown at him for the same thing.ElephantRider said:

According to twitter, the jury was mostly people from "anti-Black cultures". Whatever that meansGuitarsoup said:I've seen a ton of comments, even from people I really like and respect about how there are two Americas and this is another white princess getting off while a black man would have had the book thrown at him for the same thing.ElephantRider said:

* Black Judge (who disallowed at least 5 defense expert witnesses that certainly negatively impacted their case significantly)
* Jury was made up of 10 minorities/ 2 honky crackers
* Black lead investigator
While I agree in many cases that this is true. This case? I don't see it at all.
The tweets I posted yesterday called the jury "White-Identifying"ElephantRider said:According to twitter, the jury was mostly people from "anti-Black cultures".
