Pretty easy tube ride in to the area, so I'd suggest staying wherever you want to be for the rest of the trip and just ride the tube for the match
Oh and go to the Tollington Arms before hand for beers

Very cool. There's no particular reason to stay near the Emirates, that neighborhood is not exactly hopping outside match day, I would just get a room somewhere along the Piccadilly Line and you can take the tube right there, getting off at the station nearest whichever pub you want to hit first.
Lots of nice places in Covent Garden or near the British Museum that are a little bit more "in the middle of things", depending on your budget.
Time for MLS to get a shot in MF

yeah, you're going to have an amazing time. Be sure to get there early enough to make friends and share some pints. As others have said, I wouldn't stay near Emirates. Just stay in any central part of London or any place where you want to be walkable to stuff and take the train. It's super easy. And, be sure to get there early enough to check out the main merch store. They usually have some cool in-store only gear that you can only get there. Pretty good food inside as well. It's a great stadium, but we have it made with Kyle Field. You'll see what I mean.

I think I would be happy to call Havertz the winter transfer replacement for Merino and call it a day.
I feel like we do not need anymore "good but not good enough to move the needle" forwards and midfielders on the roster, which I assume would be all we can get done or afford. If we could get a true difference maker talent, then of course yes.

Havertz & MLS. Use Havertz in the RCM/AM role and MLS as a backup for Rice or a more defensive sub. MLS is a natural CM and isn't playing LB as much. Why not start grooming him to replace Merino who is 29 and on his 2nd major injury since joining Arsenal.

Merino is having surgery on his foot. Really sucks for him. He is a big member of our team, but also huge for the Spanish NT. Would hate to see him miss the WC. Foot injuries are always finicky. He could be back in a month or two or be out for a really long while

No Odegaard at all and I saw rumors early this morning that he was left out. Hope everything is fine.
I've not seen anything about injury but I have seen some sketchy rumors for about a week that he and Arteta aren't getting along super well and that MO is planning an exit in the summer.
It's also interesting that.....

But he got the ball. In the EPL that means no penalty even it is just a toe nail.
I think you can squint and interpret the left leg kick as trying to desperately get the ball with more force.
But looks like a penalty anyways because of the all around follow through clearly trying to trip him up having failed to clear the ball away

The underlying problem there..... if he doesn't trip him, Marti is able to collect the ball that he barely redirected and get a shot on goal. That's denying a obvious goal scoring opportunity and not only is it a PK but also a straight red.
Watching this Leeds-Forest match, it is incredible how much space other teams get to attack in to. When we play, everyone parks the bus with zero space behind.
