Absolutely, no need to bring in a different disgruntled star.Harry Dunne said:
I'm glad we don't want Kyrie. No reason to trade one entitled emo bihtch for another.
It is awesome that we can use analytics to get evidence of players choosing not to play hard. This seems pretty clear to me.Texaggie7nine said:

You're not going to win a championship with a team built around Cousins & Wall, and if and when young players and draft picks (hopefully) give you enough of a nucleus to compete, both of those guys will be winding down their careers.k20dub said:
The other aspect to this is salvaging this season. Wall has looked healthy and Cousins has looked decent enough so we need to capitalize on that. I'm not saying we'll make a title run with whoever we get in a trade, but we can at least be competitive for the playoffs.
I think this is the plan. Stockpile picks, assets, and a young cornerstone to build around, and for this season, let Wall ball out so you can move him for more assets.Harry Dunne said:You're not going to win a championship with a team built around Cousins & Wall, and if and when young players and draft picks (hopefully) give you enough of a nucleus to compete, both of those guys will be winding down their careers.k20dub said:

IMO the best move would be to let both of those guys play 35 min. a night for a while and let Wall show that he's still an All-Star and let Cousins (hopefully) show he's still a plus NBA starting big...until a contender makes you an offer you can't refuse.
The Rockets are sifting through finalists Nets and 76ers for a James Harden deal that could culminate quickly, with Brooklyn preparing an offer of all its future first-round picks and pick swaps, per sources.CFTXAG10 said:

We probably won't win **** immediately with this team...M.C. Swag said:
I know it sucks to have your superstar MVP want out but I still think this Nets offer is awesome. I think it allows Houston to still compete in the short term while also building for the long term.
Based on rumors, the 4 players involved in this trade would be:
Lavert
Dinwiddie
Allen
Prince
On top of 4 first round picks and pick swaps.
Like, that's an insane haul. If I'm houston, i take that deal without thinking twice. A starting 5 of:
- Wall
- Lavert
- Dinwiddie (when he gets healthy obviously)
- Wood
- Allen
Is a legit playoff contending 5. And I'm pretty bearish on how viable a Nets run of 3 - 30yrd old max players in KD, Kyrie (crazy), Harden (asshat) will be. There's a greater than likely chance that the nets are a lottery team in 2 or 3 years.
Basically, this deal has the potential to be akin to the Celtics one and lay the foundation for a dynasty. I'd do it.

Definitely want the deal when we get all of Brooklyn's draft picks from now on.
IDGAF about Simmons, Maxey is the real intriguing piece in that deal.Texaggie7nine said:
I'd take that

What do they mean all future picks? Through 2030, eternity? What the **** does that mean?
