This seems like a pretty low risk move. If they can convince Porter to clean up his act we get a good player. If not we lose a pretty much worthless 2nd round pick. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

This team is playing with more effort on both ends of the floor tonight than I have seen in a while. We might not be very good anymore but at least we are fun to watch.
I came here to post that exact same thing. Also glad to see Boogie getting some minutes. He looks rusty & out of shape, but the effort level is there and he has 10 rebounds in the half to show for it.
Also Tate was a great pickup. He's going to be a contributor in the future.

Love how we moved the ball most of the night but it was rough watching EG try to play iso at the end. Hopefully that changes when we get Wall back next week.
Looks like Capela had a triple-double last night with blocks. Good for him, he seems to be playing well now that he has gotten healthy.

Honestly one guy I wish we could have kept. I understand he was outmatched against more physical centers, but I loved his athleticism, ability to run the floor, and be an above average defensive presence.

I really like all of these young players. Each of them has shown different forms of potential.

I love mason Jones. I don't think I've seen him miss a 3 this year and he always seems to make the most of every opportunity he gets on offense

Our backup center (Martin) is almost a foot shorter than their backup center (Boban) and we outrebounded them 52-36. That was a fun game.
I hope we lock up Brown and Jones to longer contracts soon. I think we have Tate and Martin on 3-year contracts. Those 4 guys could grow into legit NBA players. The scouting and development for the Rockets looks really great right now.

We don't have to do anything, but having been on the wrong end of this scenario more often than not I think rubbing it in peoples faces when they're wrong is one of the best parts of Texags, don't you?
