I'd set my expectations for deGrom at 25 starts and 150 innings. Anything over that at this point, for an injury prone 37 year old pitcher, is a bonus.

My point is he shouldn't tell people he has neck stiffness to begin with. If it's an arm thing, I get it. Stiff neck? Tell the trainers you're fine and go out there and pitch

A couple of uneducated comments in a row

When a pitcher is sore somewhere, in this a case a stiff neck, they tend to compensate to adjust for the pain. That compensation leads to mechanical changes, and that can lead to further injury. These guys are paid millions of dollars. It is extremely important they communicate everything to the trainers so the club can make the appropriate decision.

I probably won't be watching the whole game, at least not in front of a computer. But will post a few if I can.
