We're 14-14 with Corey Seager batting 0.220 and Nate Eovaldi sporting an ERA 2 runs above his career average.
Wayyyyyyyy too early to be declaring this roster a dud.
Very true, lots can and will change. With pitching like ours, we'll be in almost every game. Hoping for a Langford surge once he's off the IL.
Some fascinating stories in baseball so far. You've got total tire fires in Boston and Queens, which are always amusing to watch from afar. The Mets offense has been abysmal; hopefully they're at least playing pickleball or something on their off days to keep the vibes up. Major red flags flying in Boston, sounds like it's approaching a full on mutiny. I've never been impressed with Craig Breslow, can't see how he survives much longer. And then there are our friends down south...wouldn't be surprised if they fire Espada and have a dead-cat bounce in mid-summer under a new manager (who the other thread will declare is a managerial genius) only to unravel down the stretch because their roster has players that are either ancient or brittle, or ancient and brittle.
