Haven't watched Illinois this year. Struggling to see what the hype is about. They look slow as hell with no gameplan.

Seriously anyone who's watched Illinois, what's their skill set? They're slow and have poor ball handling. What are they usually good at?

Strong opinion formed

Their PG is a projected top 5-6 pick. Their ball handling is actually really solid, it may not be flashy but they don't turn the ball over. As a coach that's what i want from my offense as far as ball handling goes. As far as the slow comment, yeah they're not track athletes but they understand change pace change direction. The shot making ability from all 5 spots on the floor is absurd, at one point they were averaging 1.97 points per 100 possessions, which is higher than the Nuggets who have the highest points per 100 in the NBA. They do a helluva job on the offensive glass as well as the defensive glass. They're one of the most dangerous teams left.

That's just a surface level breakdown. I could go into the fact that they have 2 7 footers who can destroy you on the glass and then take you outside and drill 3s in your face.

What SHOULD it have been? The foul count was SJ 20, Duke 13, which is very similar to the counts in the other games the last day or two (excluding Purdue). Also, Duke shot 5 FTs in the last couple of minutes when SJs was fouling to stop the clock. So your numbers are misleading.

Why does this **** ALWAYS come up when Duke wins but NEVER when they lose? In last year's semi vs. Houston, foul count was the same yet Duke still had 6 more FTs. Didn't help them. The year before in the regional final loss vs. NC State, Duke was actually called for 7 MORE fouls, yet shot 3 more FTs.

This is the kind of crap Baylor fans are known for. They get beat soundly, allege the officials were instructed to call it for Duke, then disappear when Duke loses in the next round or two.
