This Tennessee and Miami OH game is highly disappointing. The building was all behind them, they started off hot, I have them in all sorts of pools plus a sizeable wager on them, and they are getting their drawers blown off by a pretty mid UT team. Sad.

NIL has liked the tournament. There can never be a good mid major 12-14 seed bc all the good players go to a power 4 school the next year if they play decently. Sucks for March madness.
I think UCLA has shot more mid range jumpers in 12 minutes than we did all season. Most of them have been falling so far, but weird to see a team taking primarily low percentage shots.

Why are 12 seeds from automatic one bid conferences like High Point, McNeese, Akron, and Northern Iowa any different than their 13 seed brethren Hofstra, Troy, Hawai'i, and Cal. Baptist?
It seems like an arbitrary line picked because High Point already had the upset.
Some exciting finishes but not that many upsets. Out of roughly 24 games so far, only 6 "worse" seeds (I still can't figure out whether you call a 10 over a 7 a lower or higher seed) have won, and that includes a couple of 9s over 8s, which they historically have a slight tournament edge over.
Maybe that will change tonight. Hopefully, this weekend.

Its a little arbitrary, but not completely.
First, The 1-4 seeds are the committee's expected Sweet 16. Just like the 1 seeds are the expected Final 4. In mid/late season, annually, the committee puts out a preview of the top 16 seeded 1-4 by region.
2nd, historically there's a MAJOR dropoff in winning percentage between the 12 and 13 seed. Its 15% which is HUGE.
