Olivia Wilde just comes across as someone with more backbone and fitting the profile of Lois Lane better than Amy Adams every did. Plus, Olivia is smokin' hot!!!

I remember walking out of Meyerland at age 11 having just seen Superman and commenting how the music sounded so much like Star Wars. I had no idea who John Williams was even though I had the 2-LP Star Wars score. I also recall seeing Capricorn One at the Lake Theater in Lake Jackson a few months earlier, waiting for mom and sister to get out of Grease and staring at the big wall hanging they had of Superman (the lettering that looked like glass) and thinking how.much I could not wait to see it.

And then 3 years ago, the Alamo Draft house showed it, and despite having seen Superman a.bazillion times, I saw it for the second time theatrically.

The actor does a great subtle voice modulation from being Clark to being Supes when he says "Ms Lane?" another great tip of the hat to Chris Reeve's seminal performance. Clark is goofy, Superman is commanding.


Of course, every guy who plays Superman has to try to live up to this unbelievable acting.

I think this actress is going to be the gold standard for Lois Lane, and I say that knowing full well that Margot Kidder currently holds that distinction. Amy Adams is a good actress, and while I didn't hate her in MoS, she didn't really make a lasting impression. But this gal looks like she has knocked it out of the park. That entire interview interaction in the trailer was just greatness from both of them.

There were moments during the interview where Rachel Brosnahan sounded like Margot Kidder. She was fantastic in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, so I've had high expectations for her in this role. That interview sealed it for me.

I've been teaching myself Adobe Premiere Pro 2025 and decided to take footage from all the teasers, trailers, sneak peeks, etc and make a montage to the score of John Williams's original Superman theme. Go easy on me concerning the editing skills please:

I'm not an editor, so I didn't notice anything in that regard. I thought it was a great job, many of the shots hit the beats of the music, and that original Superman theme will simply never be beat. I'm not even sure that John Williams himself could compose a theme superior to what he did in 1978.

great job, I used to make slide shows and video shows of my kids every month when they were in the NICU a dozen years ago so everybody else could see them, and it is both a labor-intensive but tremendously rewarding experience.

Tongue in cheek, it would be great if the scene with the giant light show in the sky while with Lois is the end of the movie where Superman decides he's sick of humanity and they can fight their own battles, cue alien invasion while he's like "Ehh, I'm going to make out with my girlfriend, then I'll go check it out."

Nice! You're a natural. You picked a great shot to tease/open on, and throughout you not only edit to the music, but the footage often fits the shifting tones of the score. You'd be surprised how many fan edits fail to do this. Awesome work.

I've seen at least five people say this should have been the first official image way back when, and they're right. As opposed to the actual first-look image where he's sitting, his suit is dirty, and he's just casually putting on his boots. That was so weird.

Maybe, but the first image you're referencing is stereotypical Gunn, moreso than this one. So in that regard, it makes sense we got what we got.

I'm rewatching Peacemaker right now and definitely looking forward to Gunn's spin on the big characters in the DCU.
