Thanks! Appreciate all the back story here, for us casual watchers and non book readers, I enjoy getting some lore and back story on this thread without having to dig and risk possible spoilers. Keep it up!

Late to the party, but finally caught up and had to jump in to say this show is INCREDIBLE. The showrunners (and GRRM too) knew exactly the tone they wanted to strike and they nailed it. Funny and light, but sincere. Earnest without being cheesy. The classic hero's journey+lone wolf and cub trope but still feels fresh. 10/10.

And shoutout to Lorna Marie Mugan as the series Costume Designer. Every character's wardrobe looks believably lived in and authentic to the 'time.' Obviously the OG Game of Thrones set the bar, but this meets that standard and really stands out when compared to other high budget 'time period' shows like Wheel of Time.

Lol I kinda wish this was just 1 long movie released in theatres, because the quality is so good (and I hate waiting 7 days for each installment).

My only nitpick so far: If Ser Arlan had shown literally any Lord his dick, I think his name would have been remembered throughout the realm and Dunk could have avoided all this trouble entirely.

Correct, Aemon was at the Citadel studying to become a Maester and was offered the opportunity to leave and become King but declined to break his vows, which is how Egg ends up with the crown

Haha! This series blows hugely. HOTD is insanely better. Watched Epi 1 and 2 lof this Knight series last night. Won't watch any others. It was awful and uneventful trash.

Don't understand the mindset of people to come on the thread only to s*** on it with their HIGHLY subjective takes. Must be a miserable person in real life.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow's episode and the rest of the series. I love origin stories and if Ser Duncan the Tall garnered 4 pages in the Knights Book (that Joffrey read when he was shaming Jamie in GoT) I'm excited to see what he does.

And I never understood taking what someone thinks about a tv show to draw conclusions about their life and that they must suck as a person lol. He doesn't like the show and posted it on a thread about the show. Big ****ing deal.
