I want to go back to the no new wars people. How is this a new war? This is a country that has been holding the region hostage for decades while also killing Americans. CDR Sal rightly calls this a punitive expedition.

There is a direct correlation between this and the actions against the Barbary Pirates right after the founding of the country.

It's a limited operation with fairly discreet goals. End enrichment and using terror proxies and do whatever the eff else you want. It's the farthest thing from the Iraq or Afghanistan wars where we tried to reinvent countries. It's a rejection of the Powell Doctrine and a return to traditional American interventions.

The politicians in Iran doing the negotiating absolutely want to capitulate. The economy is on the verge of collapse and their foreign currency reserves are pretty much gone. Civil servants have not been paid. Banks are failing. Inflation is in the triple digits. It's already estimated it may take up to a decade to recover the economic losses already suffered.

The IRGC refuses to allow a deal. These are the people who murdered their own citizens and support the mullahs. They don't care about the people.

The stock markets have already recovered to pre-war levels and the S&P 500 is only about 30-ish points from the all-time high.

All of that happened before an announcement of it being over.

I think the point is the spring has already kind of snapped back and there's not going to be some sort of exuberant jump because it's slowly been happening over the last week or two.

I said it would be an interesting day bc that Fox reporter left the White House the night before saying the war was over and Trump would speak in the morning. I didn't watch his speech but I read he said that it's essentially over which was he's been saying for weeks.

Who the **** is pulling the strings? What happened that made Trump call the Epstein files nonsense? Why did we reverse course on all of his campaign promises including no new wars?

Take off your blue and red colored glasses and just be objective with both parties. Some of you are so ****ing sold out to one side it hurts my heart that there are so few objective people. Eventually you have to open you eyes and see that Trump is compromised and he isn't worth a **** either.
