6 was the forecast for Canyons.
Problem isn't snow. It's the rain and high temps around New Years.
La Nina Years we get snow, it's just gone 2 days later because of rain or 40 degree temps.

The 6-14" forecast turned into 4". Windy as hell and 17 degrees for first chair. There slowly getting more stuff opened up.

Make up your mind. Is the lack of snow and strikes going to hurt the locals or can you easily dump 15% of your revenue and not miss a beat.
I'm guessing about 8-10 inches in Steamboat. The deck was completely dry yesterday.

Hell… the Californians in Northern Cali (like Redding and north) and Oregon hate Californians.

Winter park got 12" after they scraped the stake yesterday afternoon. Probably 16+ over 24 hours.
The prior to 5am snow gets counted towards the previous day but yes that's possible.
Problem is 40 degree weather later this week plus rain.
Nvm they reported 0 for Saturday. Could be 16 but odd they didn't report them.

Great day with kids at Monarch today. 5 year old got her lesson in but the 3 year old was not about it. He loved the childcare. Going to send him there again tomorrow but with a small section of ski school as part of that - not a full private session.
Daughter crushed it and wanted to do another lesson tomorrow with same instructor. What's the etiquette, if any,on tipping instructors?

Wolf Creek was a mad house today at the base, but there were some lifts with no lines. My 5 year old daughter did her first day of ski school today and killed it. She was getting on and off the lift by herself and running the bunny slope with no assistance. The instructor said she's a bit of a speed demon which she gets honest.
