apparently I'm doing it wrong. Where are said taqueria? is it going to make me taquaerrrhea my pants?
For the Ski trips, we typically only stop in Amarillo and then somewhere around Colorado Springs for Gas. Amarillo is usually the Valero/Toot n totum on the loop or Bucees.
For RV, we do the Love's in Quanah and hope to god something is edible.
I avoid the Bucees in the RV in Amarillo - the Valero has RV pumps and parking available. There's a decent little BBQ place inside there and a Wendy's.
Next fill up is Clayton. Same Toot n Totum then onward.
I'm generally a tyrant on these road trips. We stop for gas only - that's where food can be purchased or non-RV toilet used. I'm generally trying to get out of the hellscape of the panhandle in the summer or winter as quickly as possible. Also, we do 700+ miles in a day often and I'm not about dilly dabbing around.
