Yeah, just to taunt everyone. WC got 16" and should still be mostly open. Drive over there. Bet it is a zoo, people getting a last couple of good days in.

Colorado Ski Passport is going to have some major changes this year. I won't jump the gun on them, but the restrictions are going to be far more stringent and a majority of passes sold last year won't be eligible for renewal because of the new restrictions. The price point is also going to significantly rise and the cross over between Ikon and CSP will be far less. You can thank Aspen Ski Co for that one. I mean it was kinda too good to be true… less than $400 for a kid AND adult unlimited at Snowmass wasn't long term feasible when regular Ski Co passes are $1400/600 and Ikon is $1100/500. It's gonna be more Pajarito/Az Snow Bowl/Powderhorn and less major mountains like Aspen Ski Co Telluride etc. Meaning far less useful as a cross over pass than previously.
They're also going really PO some people because by August 1 the Epic and Ikon will be significsntly more costly. Alot of people are gonna get put behind the 8 ball when they announce the changes.
We likely WONT be buying the CSP this season if the proponed changes are fully implemented.

Well, I've gone and discovered that you can build a ramp and jump and landing pad in your yard with some wood and turf, and practice jumps and park stuff all year with a little wax and soapy water. I'm already getting ideas. I've got 10 acres and plenty of building materials and some old carpets and rugs in the barn for under layers… I don't think I can be stopped…,just need maybe a few pallets and a goob amount of outdoors turf.

Most of them seem to be park kids practicing rails. I just want a little jump with a bit of a sloped landing so I can practice jump tricks like a shifty and maybe do a 180 or 360 eventually. Nothing crazy. I think it would be fun though I imagine it is pretty tough on the bindings…and the body.
Good news about the El Niño, I think, overall. Not sure what it does to Texas, but a good ski season would be really nice after this past one.

I really like that design... Could make a pile of those with about 2 1/2" and 1 1/2" hole saws and a bunch of 1/2" plywood scrap. Then mount them on an old ski for artsyness.

So I built this ski rack, pretty happy how it turned out, definitely didn't save any money if my time is worth anything
Got a coat of storage wax on everybody's skis and hung up for the season, noticed my 90s k2 197s had a career ending injury on the last day of the season (tank top and jorts day)
So they're gonna become furniture
Not sure if I shared the coat rack I built at the beginning of the season
Next projects are a bench and a gate, then stepping up to chairs
