I hate this effing team. I don't know why I even bother anymore. I hate the way they play, I hate how they waste time like South Americans. I hate how inept they are in holding off the most financially corrupt team in the history of English football at the end of every gdamn season.

Sorry for the rant, Gooners.

The biggest lie of the season is that this defense is elite. They prevent goals by passing the ball around while doing nothing. If the other team puts them under pressure they turn to shambles very quickly.

If you say you hate the state of politics in this nation and you don't get involved in it, you obviously don't hate the state of politics in this nation.

Well that may be the death blow by the time the season ends

The data doesn't support the claim that our defense isn't elite. Our lack of offense makes every goal we give up more impactful.

They don't give up a lot of goals. Because of the possession they don't defend a lot. But when they do have to defend, they panic, fast.

What the **** were Raya and Gabriel doing?

Yeah thats probably gonna do it. The offense is so passive that I just dont see them scoring enough to win games.

Our best players have totally **** the bed all season and continue to not show up.

I find it interesting that there's the usual discourse about the attack, which I get because it continues to be an issue with Arteta's team, and sure 2-0 up could have been a lot more.

But the defense squandered a 2-0 lead against one of the worst teams the Premier League has ever seen. The first goal, maybe Hincapie should have closed the shot down but I'd have to see it again. The second goal however, wow, a goalkeeper of a team trying to win a title can't do that when his CB is going to head the ball away.

I'm still in disbelief on this one. It's one of those games where it seems like it would be harder to give up a 2 goal margin to that opponent vs pulling off the easy victory. This team just so often feels like that TAMU football team in the round 1 game against Miami. Just incredible talent all over the field/pitch, but just can't get it done when the pressure mounts. If and when this lead and season slips from our hands, it will be very easy to point to which part of the season lost it for us. I hope we're all wrong there, but you can't lose all these insanely winnable games and expect to keep hold of a league championship.

It ain't over til it's over, but feels awfully familiar.

If Arsenal spit the bit in the epl, my opinion is that Arteta can only stay if Arsenal win the Champions League. If Arsenal don't win either, Arteta's got to go. Again, just my opinion, and a lot yet to happen.

I understand that this is the common sentiment but two questions:

1. Why?
2. Who do we get that is better?

For me it's always been about Arteta's tactics. It's all too safe and too cautious. Besides one game every few weeks, we never seem to really look all that dangerous or create very many chances. And we really have an insane amount of attacking talent.

I was a Chelsea fan growing up because Michael Ballack was my hero. I remember that Chelsea team from 2010 that did the double (Premier League and FA Cup). They were beating teams four or five nil every game. They bean Wigan eight nil to win the prem on the final day!

Arteta has to shift his mindset and not try to overly rely on set pieces and own goals. Get the ball forward, get it into the box, send in crosses, etc. Too much money spent and too much talent to play the way they are.
