I *****ed about Seager swinging at everything last night and now he barely takes the bat off his shoulder. I think all 3 strikes were below the zone.

Edit to add, he swung at the only strike and fouled it off. He needs to up his ABS challenge game.

The ball seems to carry with the roof open.

Hit parade. This is the type of baseball we were promised.

May have got lucky with the error put piling on and making them pay is something we haven't seen a lot of.

Nimmo banged up on that play. Looked like an "inside" sprain.

Each member of the bullpen owes Gore a large steak dinner with a side of truffle fries and a triple chocolate cake dessert.

I was ripping him after his last start for being a wet noodle. This has been a pleasant surprise.

Good job by Latz to just pitch like no one was on. Make that scrub wear those earned runs

Game was really pleasant with the roof open. Cool breeze in the outfield.

The roof was still opening at first pitch. I thought it was supposed ot either be full open or closed during play. It seemed to stop a few times during opening and I wondered if there was an issue.

Hurtado brisket nachos FTMFW. I'll try Prince Lebanese next time. Love the restaurant - not sure what they have at the ballpark.

Man, a craft 16 oz beer was like $17. Only had one.

First game watching from the outfield in some time. I had a lot of trouble seeing the ball off the bat - getting old sucks.

Tried on the new City connect jersey but didn't like it as much in person as I do on TV. Bought one of these instead.

I did not catch the specifics, but yes, there was an issue with the roof. I saw something on twitter about it, and I believe they mentioned it during the game.

And yes, beer at any sporting event these days is ridiculously priced.

Most of these retractable roofs are rarely opened and seem to have mechanical issues. I think the best long-term bet if a team wants a climate controlled stadium is to figure out how to build them to make them feel more outside while being indoor. Along the lines of what Minnesota did for the Vikings or Sofi. Using translucent materials like etfe, use of more strategically placed windows, etc. Retractables in Texas are a massive waste when you could build an alternative that is much more appealing for all games vs being left with this boxy stadium that is rarely open air
