that short clip of Irishman for costume design reminded me. I thought Stephen Graham put in the best performance in The Irishman. Crazy how good a Brit is at playing american mobsters/gangsters

I prefer my documentaries without a politcal message (either side of the issue, I dont care). I do appreciate gaining insight into a subject matter, a peek behind the curtains so to speak, and I dont mind if there is a narrative they tell either. Just don't twist the facts, or omit facts to suit your story.

Hollywood Blvd is Mann's Chinese Theater, the Kodak Theater (where the Oscars are being held), the Walk of Stars, is more tourist driven, etc., and was the street that was transformed in OUATIH. Sunset Blvd - part of which is referred to as the "Sunset Strip" - is slightly more music related and features venues like The Rainbow Room, The Viper Room, The Whiskey a Go Go, etc. The ArcLight movie theater is also on Sunset and was transformed as well, but I'm pretty sure that was the only part of Sunset that got the OUATIH treatment.

It does seem hard for those people to understand that maybe no award winning quality films were directed by women this year. Maybe I'm being naive, but I dont think we are in the 50s-60s anymore.

Greta Gerwig is a good director, but she chose to make Little Women.

I agree. Werner Herzog does it perfectly in 'Into the Abyss.' IIRC he even says his own opinion on the death penalty as a narrator early on but just studies the subject matter the best he can.

This would have been better if they showed the scenes along with the music, instead of just the famous song from the movie along with multiple scenes from the movie. (some were this way)

That would actually make a pretty good video that Id want to watch.
