I for sure didnt expect the scene with Darlene, and Wyatt. And the "whoever you are" apology.
He seems exactly like a kid would be who is raised by Wendy and Marty. He loved Ben and his motives seem pure to someone raised in a dysfunctional family to me.chiken said:
I was actually thinking Jonah has become insufferable.

I haven't made it through the whole season yet, but Jonah seems like the only logical character in the famiy. The rest of the Byrdes keep telling themselves "I just have to do this one last thing and I'm free" except that one thing keeps changing and they keep buying into the lie.Eso si, Que es said:He seems exactly like a kid would be who is raised by Wendy and Marty. Can someone remind me what the point of Wendy's non-profit organization is for? Just more money laundering?
I don't think she got fired, but I bet she gets capped by the end of it.chiken said:
So agent used-to-be-pregnant went behind her bosses back as a F you for keeping her in the dark, right? That was a ballsy move. Think she got fired?

That move was totally unexpected from me. After she found out they went behind her back, I figured she'd take Marty up on his job offer.chiken said:

Unpopular opinion: If you have other shows to watch, wait for Part 2 to come out and rewatch at least S3 finale.
Right, but are we not missing the point that it's only a life-or-death situation because his sister and brother-in-law are part of an international drug syndicate? If Marty and Wendy had their pre-money laundering jobs, Ben's actions would just be a family struggle.Rocagnante said:TXAGFAN said:

Rewatch the last 2 episodes of S3. The penultimate really hammers home how messed up Ben is and how he just doesn't get it regarding the situation he caused.
Once Maya pulled her stunt, that all went out the window. It appears they are only going to be out of it once Javi is dead.Hungry Ojos said:
I'm also confused about the political/lobbying angles. If the Byrds now have immunity for all of their crimes from the FBI, why do they still care about what happens to Claire and the drug company? And why are they still advancing the Byrd family foundation? All of those actions were solely a front to launder cartel money and now they're out of it, right?
That and Wendy is an egomaniac who wants to control politics throughout the midwest.GreasenUSA said:Once Maya pulled her stunt, that all went out the window. It appears they are only going to be out of it once Javi is dead.Hungry Ojos said:

This season has had a definite GoT S8 feel to it. You'd think Chicago and Lake of the Ozarks were as close as Castle Black and King's Landing. Ruth just needs some dragons and everything will work out.
