Civil I know but there is this concept called "negligent hiring."

But I am still surprised that Baldwin was involved with such a vvery low budget movie. I mean he"s not exactly Sylvester Stallone tyring to ge the original "Rocky" made for a million back in the late seventies

Boy, talk about playing the part. He's made himself look much older. I guess to illicit sympathy? The brushed back, seemingly greased hair, the heavy glasses the older-looking suit. And yes most people would wear a suit to court I get that but it's the whole look I'm talking about.

Not DEI. Blue hair's dad is a very well respected armorer with decades of experience, and Hollywood is all about nepotism and who you know.

I thought dismissed with prejudice meant that was it, but maybe not. I guess even that is subject to an appeal?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Morrissey the prosecutor whose screw-ups got the case dismissed in the first place? This sounds mostly like wishful thinking on her part.

Alec Baldwin has sued the New Mexico prosecutors who tried to imprison him for the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his film, Rust

The civil lawsuit for malicious prosecution and civil rights violations was filed Thursday at the state district court in Santa Fe, where a judge dismissed his charge of involuntary manslaughter.

He alleges defamation, and claims prosecutors and investigators intentionally mishandled evidence during their investigation into the shooting.

'Defendants, while acting under the color of law, conspired to procure a groundless indictment against Baldwin and to maliciously bring about or advance Baldwin's trial and conviction, thus violating Baldwin's constitutional rights by their improper use of the criminal process,' the suit claims, according to The Wrap.

'Defendants sought at every turn to scapegoat Baldwin for the acts and omissions of others, regardless of the evidence or the law.'

Yeah this is just a bad idea. The prosecutor screwed up by withholding some evidence she thought was irrelevant, and probably was irrelevant. That doesn't mean the prosecution was malicious. Just couldn't go forward.

He pointed a gun at someone and pulled the trigger. There's your grounds for an indictment. Significant video evidence emerged from the set that he was playing around with the guns like they were toys. He was also the producer that hired the armorer.

Pretty sure he also settled a civil case with the victim's family.

Baldwin follows the alternative rule set:

1) You can guess if a gun's loaded by how heavy it feels

2) Shooting people can be illegal, but you can often get your way just by pointing

3) Never let your finger leave the trigger, always be prepared for action

4) If you can't see your target, you can always shoot at noises.

He gets away with it again. Tried to pass on the shoulder while a trash truck was turning right.

No injuries were reported and no summons were issued.

Baldwin has a very short fuse. Wouldn't be surprised if he was tailgating the truck, then tries to pass on shoulder. But he does it just as truck tries to pull to shoulder to let him pass....therefore forcing him off the road.

Could also be Baldwin laying on the horn, causing truck driver to pull off to shoulder to stop and encounter, but Baldwin decided to go around.

He was Executive Producer. To make matters worse for him, members of camera and other crew walked off set that morning due to safety issues. There had been other accidental discharges before that day. Baldwin also divided her duties to e armorer but also the number two for set decoration and she was paid less for when she was ordered to be on set design.

I agree with your assessment, as I often do, but executve producers are basically investors. The producer is operationally responsible. Alec Baldwin was the producer of 'Rust'.
