How is it that the regime is barely still intact but can somehow control the strait and collect tolls. Who is coordinating the tolls and overseeing who can pass or not.

They have no Navy or Air Force but still control the strait. I only say that because we are told over and over again they have no Navy or Air Force as if that is supposed to be really significant.

So again how is it they still control the strait?

It's like they had a plan in place our intelligence had no idea about? That's doubtful.

We were told Iran has capitulated and Trump celebrated on Truth Social. That Mission Accomplished lasted one day.

So now our reactionary plan for it being closed is a blockade of our own! Seems all well planned?

Our intelligence advised against this. Caine advised against this. Vance didn't like this. Tulsi wasn't included because she probably didn't like this. Kent already quit because he didn't want this and he came out with that.

This decision was solely Trumps based on Bibi's "intel" and briefing.

I've said before, it's not hard to shut down the straight. Mines, Drones, Pirates... They strike 1 ship and everything goes to a standstill.

Start putting the pieces together. Where are the Epstein files? Where is all the corruption that was going to get exposed? Why aren't people in jail for any of this crazy **** that has happened? It's just not there? What happened?

No new wars! We're ending wars! and out of no where we're bombing Iran's nuclear facilities. It's all done now, no more ability to make nukes... Bibi shows up again wanting more war with Iran. No one on trumps admin believes a word of it, but Trump is pulling the ****ing trigger again.

Who the **** is pulling the strings? What happened that made Trump call the Epstein files nonsense? Why did we reverse course on all of his campaign promises including no new wars?

Take off your blue and red colored glasses and just be objective with both parties. Some of you are so ****ing sold out to one side it hurts my heart that there are so few objective people. Eventually you have to open you eyes and see that Trump is compromised and he isn't worth a **** either.

Edit: Sorry - I replied to you but it curtailed into a rant that isn't really directed at you. Just frustrated with some of the stuff I read on this and other threads.

As a Trump voter who regrets my decision with more frequency every week , I'm with you. You're right.

So...... Kamala.

No...... Rand Paul or Thomas Massie.

So..... Kamala.

No...... Rand Paul or Thomas Massie. Or in other words, anyone who is actually fiscally conservative and socially liberal and wants to shrink the size of government at every level. A vote for a big government Republican like Trump, Rubio, Vance, etc. is the same as a vote for Kamala.

That would lose to Kamala.

I like Rand and Thomas, too.

And Cruz was a top pick in 2016.

But none of those could fight the machine like Trump could and win.

So...... Kamala.

Edit: You add to say Kamala is same as Trump.

Can't argue with stupid.

Trump, Kamala, Biden, etc. and on down the line all have the same boss. And it ain't the middle class.

Is it………..THE JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOS?

No…….. but it would be nice if everything was as simple as it is for a 3rd grader.

Their bosses are billion dollar corporations, foreign and domestic.

Thats not what it says. What it says is "Russia Agrees to Receive Iran's Stockpile of Enriched Uranium". It does not say Iran has agreed to give it up.

For reference, Russia offered to take the uranium to facilitate a peace deal as far back as March 13. And Trump rejected the proposal.

Thank you, Kenya

Interesting to see what th day brings.

Well the day has come and gone. And no Iranian uranium has been given to Russia. So I guess the Saudi story was a red herring.

Here's what was reported today. The Pentagon has asked Ford and GM to start producing weapons and military equipment. So that means its over and we won, right?

https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/pentagon-approaches-automakers-manufacturers-boost-weapons-production-wsj-2026-04-16/

In which of the many Marvel universes would either Ford or GM be able to produce even one weapon in a timeframe that has anything at all to do with this war against Iran?

A relatively small price to pay for not losing a major city to nukes in the future. That's what this is all about. Dems don't care about the future. Right?

The old "What if". Which major city? Name a few examples.

Do they have the nukes or long range rockets to carry them yet? I don't think so. Would they have them if left alone? I think so. So your question is moot. I'm sorry you couldn't understand.

One way to spin it, that's for sure. But the objective was to keep Iran from creating a nuclear weapon, and we have set them back years if not decades with what we've done. Whether there's "100% no uranium" left in their country is of lesser consequence, because that's a moving goalpost and there will continue to be factions over there trying to keep or obtain it no matter how much damage we did.

So basically we are back to where we were before. So as long as Israel will stop bombing it will stay open. Or if they bomb Lebanon again during the truce Iran will close it.

So the Iran regime still controls the strait just as before.

No agreements in place just a couple of truces.

Hopefully Trump will navigate himself out of this and return efforts elsewhere soon!

Yes basically. It's been this way since before we even started Operation Epic Fury. But before we started Operation Epic Fury, the Strait of Hormuz was WIDE OPEN

That's right. That's why the Oman side was always a possibility in negotiations to allow Iran to save face and say the Iranian half is closed.

Edit: that's why this "it was always open so what did we win!!!!" line is so dishonest: A. it was open, then B. Iran took control of it and only allowed who they wanted to pass, then C. Trump said no I'm taking control of it and allowing everyone to pass except Iran/extortion payouts. So it being "reopened" takes us back to state A, an international waterway, not to state B. State B only arose recently.

Or do you think that we should have let Iran continue to stockpile the missiles?

Or do you think we should have let Iran hit US assets in response to Israel's attack?

Or would you put boots on the ground so that the US could extract the uranium ourselves at a massive expense?

I (massive TDS) give Trump this: Venuzuela, Iran, and possibly Lebanon and Cuba may be solved in his term. Anyone who is against this outcome is incorrigible. It requires brass balls, IDGAF who this pisses off, and someone who finally grasps how to use US power without a quagmire of nation building. That's the good. The bad is Ukraine, Greenland, and torching US soft power in 1.5 short years.

You basically just admitted Israel dragged us into the war. Israel was going to strike, and we knew that Iran would retaliate, so the US had to strike as well. Why didn't we just compel Israel to NOT strike?

So basically we are back to where we were before. So as long as Israel will stop bombing it will stay open. Or if they bomb Lebanon again during the truce Iran will close it.

So the Iran regime still controls the strait just as before.

No agreements in place just a couple of truces.

Hopefully Trump will navigate himself out of this and return efforts elsewhere soon!

Iran can't close anything at this point. Its easier for all involved if they don't make the attempt.

Morning cap. Might want to catch up on your news a bit. Strait has been bottled up for a bit now. Today is the first break in that status. Hopefully, Israel holds their water.

Great post Malibu.

Pretty sure I have never typed that.

I would say that, if US soft power is built on giving away middle class taxes in a time period where the federal government is stealing something like 25% of all taxes through fraud, then maybe the soft power was more expensive than what it was worth.

No defense on Ukraine. The Greenland thing is a nothingberger.

My problem with Trump is that the US keeps printing money, and he isn't trying to stop that.

Haven't seen this answered yet, but Iran said they would allow unfettered traffic so long as they followed certain routes. Are they requiring all ships to sail into Iranian waters and pay a fee or has that been eliminated?

If Iran still has any uranium when so is said and done, "virtually" might as well mean "everything but what really mattered and what we said we started our attack on their country for".

The immediate objective was to save the lives of servicemen and assets targeted by the Iranian front lines once Israel started their attack. And Israel attacked because Iran was stockpiling missiles to overwhelm Iron Dome.

Or do you think that we should have let Iran continue to stockpile the missiles?

Or do you think we should have let Iran hit US assets in response to Israel's attack?

Or would you put boots on the ground so that the US could extract the uranium ourselves at a massive expense?

Because Iran building enough missiles to overwhelm Iron Dome was not in the US best security interests, unless we decided to completely abandon the ME altogether.

Do you think that allowing Iran to stockpile 100,000 missiles so that they could obliterate all US assets in the ME if they wanted to is a good strategic decision? Because, that is what was happening.

The timing of the attack was kinda forced by Israel. The necessity do do it was not.

Second, do you still believe that this dust up with Iran is going to be worse than the Iraq war?

Bro, you are doing that thing where you try to explain how Israel's security threats are the same as the US security threats. It's incorrect

Iran's navy disagrees with you.

Yet with no Navy or Air Force they can close the Strait and open it when they choose.

anti-semites were delirious that Trump was just in the pocket of the Jews.

doesn't sound like it!

I won't wait to read an apology:
