I voted for Paxton in the primary because I was underwhelmed with Cornyn's voting record. In the run-off, there was that fact PLUS Trump's endorsement.

Ted is nearly perfect policy-wise, and even though he's a favorite target of the left, he usually runs intellectual circles around their criticisms. Sure, he'll always have 40ish percent of Texans that will absolutely hate him, but that's going to be true for any R.
