At least Paxton doesn't pretend otherwise. He is a bare knuckle fighter that plays rough and gets stuff done. He's got a solid and consistent conservative record and he fights hard on the border and issues that matter to Texans. I don't see him out trying to pretend to be some angel or model of morality, he acts like a guy who does what voters elected him to do.

It would be great if our politicians were these noble men of principle but the reality is politics isn't a profession for good people because of what the job requires. All of these folks have skeletons, some just hide it better. At least with Paxton you know what they are. There is nothing authentic about Talarico and he openly talks about how he is pandering and will say whatever in order to get votes, his problem is he is so obviously fake while doing it.
