I mean, these are the kind of hires Trev makes though. He seems to be able to spot good talent, giving them the resources they need to succeed

Lenard would be fine, I guess, but quite underwhelming. Very surprised she is the primary target as I don't think she would make anyone's list of the top 50 college coaches in the country. Seems a solid coach whose main selling point is she lives nearby. Was hoping we had our sights set higher.

Higgy is great. However, I'm told he declined to interview. Which could be because Bell may have interviewed. My guess is, if Bell comes, he'll want to bring Higgy but that could be an expensive prop (and I'd expect TCU to counter for at least one of the two. Both are great guys IMO. They've done a great job and they never stop recruiting. TCU doesn't necessarily have all the resources of A&M but they are an attractive alternative for players and they are very selective when it comes to recruiting. They know their system and they know who will fit well and they'll pursue them until they get them.

I disagree. If we were going to be disappointed it would be because he's already made the hire and the coach wasn't in the tournament. Alberts decided to give Joni more NIL and assistant $ and the results look promising.

Making the tourney is a loser goal, respectfully…especially for a program like ours. We should be aiming bigger. See trying for almeida and then getting ford in softball

Joni came in as an Olympic coach, with supposed super powers for recruiting Texas. She has been a complete failure since D1 outside of 1 OK year. Alberts has made decent hires so far, some too new to come to fruition yet.

you do realize how goals work? they build on each other
loser is the 33 year coach not making the Conference tournament

We are (or were) a premier program…and should be hiring coaches as such. Not mid level/avg success with hopes that they can be better.

This is the kind of thing we should be doing but this feels like a pro coaching-gig type scenario
