Not sure they'd have much better options…recruiting as a lame duck HC has got to be really difficult

When I first mentioned Wood I hadn't heard it from anywhere else and wanted to throw in a wild card to spice things up. But at this point I actually like him for it better than I did a week ago. Or hell, there's also the chance he didn't even get an interview. I like all the sleuthing but unless it's Bell I think we are all going to be surprised. Also, some good discussion about the assistants but that will 100% be up to the new coach and as much as I do have a positive opinion on all 3 of ours and think things are a lot more nuanced than some make it out to be, I don't know how much of a fan Trev would be of keeping anything from the last regime considering how it ended. Excited to hear any inside info that pops up (or out?) between now and the hire announcement.

Lukewarm on this, at best. You could do worse than Hudson. But you could certainly do a whole lot better.

Would be very exciting if she could bring with her Ava Galligan and Sariyah Bailey… then get some more attackers and middles in the portal or internationally which she's shown to be excellent at.

They both combined for 20 goals this season. Galligan was first team all SEC and Bailey 3rd team and all freshman team

At this point I'm thinking - which coach is available that can and will bring their entire roster with them to make us immediately competitive next year?

An asst at one of those schools would probably be a good value for money hire. I'm not familiar with the assistants at those schools but they've got championship pedigree.

So it seems, we have no idea who the coach will be at this time.

When Ford came in (softball) the entire staff was replaced, some brought with her from ASU. The new soccer coach might do the same ... or might not. I can see the new coach keeping Alyssa simply because she is an Aggie but ...

Just something else we will have to wait and see what happens.

Agree with this completely. I was driven away from most threads because certain posters only focus on bashing G and blaming anything and everything on him. I understand the decline the program has seen, but still do not feel the need to say it on every thread. Some of the comments might be true but still is it required to be brought back up on every thread. Especially on threads where we saw a glimmer of hope, but it seemed some posters felt they needed to counter any positivity with the repeated negative comments to bash out any positive comments.

Now the coach is retired and gone, and some people still want to bash G on every thread. Let's move forward and look for the positive.

Well I believe its out there that the Baylor HC turned us down, not sure who the other one is. I don't think we offered Hale. Could be the LSU coach if that rumor had any legs. Trev must have thought he could get someone for a bargain price is my guess...

I saw that on the other board as well. I'm not sold on the LSU coach at this point. Maybe someone can change my mind. We'll see.

Zimmerman jumping around is really weird. He built an awesome team at Miss State, then bounced for Auburn, now another year later he bounces to Florida. He also picked up some quality transfers to Auburn this past week. He must really feel he can bring Florida back.

If you've ever been to Starkville, you know why he jumped to Florida. Gainesville ain't the greatest but it's far better than Starkville. 6 years is long enough and anyone would be ready to GTFO
