Parsons is better than ibaka and Leonard, but it's close because of durant.

Parsons isn't close to Kawhi.

I think you could make a legit case for these two as well as a Dwight/Harden/Parsons trio, assuming Duncan stays about the same level. If you add Josh Smith to Dwight/Harden/Parsons, I'd take Houston for sure though, because Josh wouldn't have to be a focal point on offense.

We already know its not working in LA and the Rockets roster now without Howard is better than the Mavs. The Thunder will still be a big threat with Durant/Westbrook/Ibaka

First, if Dwight goes to Houston they don't have a 'big 3' they have a very good duo. If Josh Smith comes, we can talk about a big three.

Second:
Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka
Tim, Tony, Kawhi
Gasol, Randolph, Conley
CP3, Griffin, Crawford
all better than Dwight, Harden, and lol Parsons

Come on now. Kawhi stepped up in the Finals, but Parsons did in the playoffs as well.

Parsons: 18.2, 6.5, 3.7
Kawhi: 13.5, 9.0, 1.0

Six game sample. Parsons had three good games and three bad games against OKC. Kawhi played some of the best defense that Bron has ever had to face in his career.

Amazing what the offseason does for the confidence of Rockets fans.

He averaged 25 and 11 in the finals. That's all I'm saying

Just go look at ESPN, SI, sporting news "experts" who are unanimously agreeing with what we are saying, boy genius

He has been held under 20 points in three straight games twice since his rookie year. One time was game 1, 2, and 3 in the Finals this year.

Most of Bron's points didn't come against Leonard, which is why one of the big stories was how great Leonard was playing and how he was proving he was on the cusp of superstardom in the Finals.

If Chandler Parsons was guarding him he would've average 15 & 5.

Leonard has to prove a lot more to me (longevity) wise before he's a star. Everyone knows the Trevor Ariza rule

You don't watch the rockets obviously.

I like Parsons, but Leonard is one of the 5 best perimeter defenders in the league. You can put him on an island with almost anyone. That's huge.

According to basketball-reference.com, Leonard had a higher ORtg (114 to 113) and DRtg (99 to 108). Parsons has an edge on per game stats because Leonard played fewer minutes, got fewer possessions (lower usage rating because of the Spurs' offense) and has been dealing with a knee injury much of the season; he actually missed 34 games this year.

Not saying he is a star yet. Just saying he is better than Chandler Parsons.

Parsons and Leonard are roughly a wash at this point.

You don't watch much besides the Rockets, obviously.

However, as a neutral observer, Houston is a much, much better place than Dallas right now if you want to win a title. The only caveat is if Dallas pulls off some mega deal, but the pieces are already in place in Houston. Parsons isn't as good as Leonard, but he is still a really solid third wheel.

You put lol in front of his name even though he easily is better than all of those #3s except debatable kawhi. Jamal Crawford is a good scorer but doesn't do much else and he's getting old

Conley, Leonard, and Ibaka are all better at what they do than Parsons is.

Conley Ibaka and Crawford are all unquestionably better than Chandler Parsons.

Ibaka-blocking shots. Ok doesn't make him a better player

Conley-floaters???. He's not better

In reference to Ulrich saying "better at what they do"

Agree with all that.

Thanks for the stats to back up my statements.

I watch both guys all year and there is zero chance I would ever consider a Parsons for Leonard trade.

It depends what you want. Parsons is more capable of carrying a large load offensively and he can run the offense. Kawhi is better on defense. Overall I'd say Kawhi is better.

Other than Cuban, Dallas doesn't have any pieces that would entice me if I was Howard. 35-year old Dirk? Vince Carter and Shawn Marion? Meh.

Harden, Parsons, Beverly make a much more enticing destination for Howard without question. They don't have to answer the question of what else are you going to do. They have another piece in place and they can say who they are going to use to get the ball to Howard in crunch time.

First off, Rockets fans have to stop looking at this like Parsons is already a fantastic player. He's a good offensive player (51st in the league in scoring) and a bad defensive player (gives up 108 points per 100 possessions). He could easily get better because he's still young.

Ibaka is arguably the best shotblocker in the game and only scored two fewer ppg than Parsons.

Conley, if you haven't seen him play, is a pretty freaking good PG on both ends.

Leonard's career DRtg is currently good enough to land him in the top 30 all time even though he missed camp because of the lockout his rookie year and missed 34 games due to injury his soph year. He's also a great rebounder and efficient scorer.
