I don't like our chances considering somebody floated dwight and cp3 playing together and they maneuvered a top coach to the clippers. I think the clippers have to be the favorite for dwight at this point.

Dwight isn't going to the Mavs. He will entertain them, sure. But other than a Dirk who is about to retire in a couple of years, there really isn't an identity to that team. He would be a fool to turn down a chance to play with Harden and Parsons. Plus he has a chance to be coached by one of the best low block guys EVER. It's not even close IMO.
The best option is clearly Houston. However, Howard is a weird kid. He doesn't always make the best decisions. He may value being the undisputed leader of a team (DAL) over the opportunity to win a title (HOU)
If he looks at it like that, he should stay in LA (assuming Kobe retires soon).
He's an idiot. Trying to use rational thinking to figure out where he'll sign is futile.

FWIW, I think the Rockets would be the most logical choice for him if his goal is to get paid while having a longer window for winning open (and I'm writing as a Mavs fan). But I can't predict this knucklehead's next move.
I could totally see him picking Dallas. You are right that logic may not ultimately rule his decision. He is a head case.
I don't think there is any predicting what Howard will do. His motivations are weird.
