Jeff Green is more of a 6'9" SF IMO. I don't know about him as our starting PF. He doesn't rebound well, but if he's gonna be a starting PF, who better than Dwight to be next to him I guess.

So was Rashard Lewis, and maybe Josh Smith. Sure having a star like LaMarcus Aldridge would be ideal, but that's unlikely to say the least. I think Green would fit well and he *might* be acquirable.
I actually like the Casspi signing. Vet min, so no hit to the cap. Still young (25) so improvement isn't out of the question. And his rookie year he looked like he was on his way to being a very solid player in the Hedo Turkeyglue mold. He has since derailed on that train a bit, but with his career going from Sacramento to Cleveland, it's not like he was put into any great opportunities to succeed. This is the type of low risk move that could easily pan out for Morey. And if it doesn't, the 2nd year is a team option, so you have an easy out.

We can't afford to trade him. Our defense was dreadful last year when Asik came out, and we'd be back in that situation with Dwight if we unloaded Asik without another backup center in place. Also, in a year he and Lin become expiring deals that we could possibly move to a team like Portland, since Aldridge is unlikely to re-sign with them, or whichever team is looking to "rebuild".
Great point Ryan or for Love. That trade chart would look hilarious if we flipped Lin and Asik for either of those guys.

Because that 15 mins per game center would establish the Rockets as one of the best defensive teams in the league.

The Rockets defense fell to bottom of the league level when Asik came out last year. They will keep him so that doesn't happen this year.

Overpaid IMO.
The Rockets definitely need another perimeter defender. If they could trade Asik for one and get a competent back up center, I'm sure they would.
They allowed 107.0 points per 100 possessions without Asik, and 101.3 with him. That's the difference between 28th and 10th. There is not a perimeter defender available that would make that big of a difference. I do agree that they need one though.
