Guajillo's at 410 and Blanco has been discussed for our next visit, but I just found out that they're not open for breakfast. So, I move we go back to the well and dance with the one that brung us... AC at 7.30am.

Dammit Cupid! Do you even read?

While AC is my favorite all-time, we're agreeing we should branch out a little on this special Holiday taco run since our schedules should be a little more forgiving.

We're entertaining nominations for inside 410, or even outside 1604. I care not, just that the taco joint is worth the extra holiday effort.

I read. I just don't pay attention all the time. Plus, I'm being selfish. I live near AC so it's convient. Sue me.

If we really want to branch out we should go to the Chevron station in Comfort. Tacos so good they make you wanna slap yo momma.

AgDev has mentioned a few good ones inside 410. What were those again?

has anyone mentioned Jalapenos off Babcock near Prue Rd.? The barbacoa and carne guisada are fantastic.

Some of the places i have mentioned earlier in the thread are:

1. Rolando's Super Taco - Hidlebrand & Blanco - Huge Tacos - Very good everything. bring your big boy pants if you are going to eat here.

2. El Milagrito Cafe - Woodlawn & St. Mary's - Best chorizo i've had. the barbacoa is top notch, if not the best is SA. looses a point for their salsa but the tacos are so good you don't need it.

3. Las Salsas - San Pedro and Woodlawn - Amazing corn tortillas. Good food and open 24 hours. Seriously their corn tortillas are very good.

4. Taco Haven - S. Presa. Tortillas are soft and a bit gooey, very good. everything i have tired here has been wonderful.

5. Pizza-Hut Jalisco(forgot name) - Cheap and at times has been excellent but is hit or miss last time i went the chorizo and eggs was overcooked. good sauce though.

6. Taco Taco - everybody knows it from the food network. Good but better options in the area.

7. Pete's Taco - went once didn't like it.

8. Blanco Cafe - horrible. will never eat at that location again.

I recommend we go to any of 1-4 all are very good and each brings their own strengths.

If you live in the area or are there around lunch the little chinese place in that center is very good.

I was wondering about that chinese place. Will have to try it sometime!

Oh, and another good thing about Jalapenos - they deliver.

If they deliver Taco's you may have just made Alphamale's dream come true.

I imagine they'd deliver anything on the menu, not sure what the delivery minimum is though.

This!! I'm surprised I haven't been there yet considering the proximity to my current living situation.

And my vote is Taco Haven. I believe it's been nominated before but people decided it was too inconvenient. May be a good holiday taco trip.

I forget you live in that area too. You need to try it, it's in that shopping center next to whataburger.

Wait what? Where are they located and how far out to they go?

littlemisst08

Babcock and Prue, and I think there might be a location in the medical center, too. Not sure on how far they'll go.

I've never had them deliver, but they advertise that they do on their menus.

I doubt anyone is going to want to drive that far at 7. Aquascalientes or nearby would be a better choice.

I am guessing more people will be off work between Christmas and New Years, at least I am, and we can have the 2010 Texags - San Antonio Board Holiday Season Taco Breakfastâ„¢ on the 29th at 8 or 9.

I'm gonna have to agree with the AgDev01 on this. 7am downtown doesn't sound appealing to me on a vacation week.

I nominate that taco joint that delivers - Jalapenos for 7a this Wednesday, and Taco Haven for 8-830a on the 29th.

6387 Babcock Rd
San Antonio, TX 78240

I might even join you guys! I gotta leave around 7:20 though, b/c I work downtown and don't have vacation like SOME people.

I'll try jalapeno's for lunch tomorrow and give a scouting report.

Google map for the direction impaired.

Best part of living and commuting in the opposite direction. a 40 minute commute for you is 20 for me going to same distance.

Also I went to a new place over by where i live Saturday and may have a new addition to my top 5 Olmos Park/Monte Vista area taco places.

The Little Taco Factory - off McCullough south of Ashby. Small place that mainly has to-go orders but good tacos and excellent tortillas.
