I think it was first mentioned around pg 4 or 5 of this thread. Good place, I liken it to Taco Taco that it may receive a bit more hype than actual quality but it isn't bad and certainly a good place to stop if you live or work close by.

Fail on my part. There is also a place across the street from Taco Garage called Taqueria Vallarta. That place is always crowded as well.

I have confirmed that Taqueria Vallarta is pretty good. Decent size tacos, great price. It also has a drive thru and the building itself looks like a very, very old Whataburger.

Taco Garage is good. Have you tried Eddie's Taco House? They have great tacos and they are dirt cheap but plenty big to fill you up. Also Taco house makes a good taco as well.

It is.

Some damn good tacos this morning. In fact i would place it in a firm second out of all the places we have been, behind only Taco haven. I will be adding their downtown location to my weekend taco rotation.

Corn tortillas were absolutely perfect and the green sauce had a nice kick.

I concur. Very very good. I'd rate it up there at the top. Torts were excellent, filler was good, and the salsa and service was outstanding. Tommy's gets an A.

I went by Carmelita's Mexican Restaurant (off Broadway just north of Josephine) over the weekend. As far as the tacos go the tortillas were to my liking thoroughly cooked to the point where you could practically taste the cast iron they were made on. Unfortunately the fillings on the other hand were not as good, not bad, but nothing stood our and portions were small. The scenery on the other hand was spectacular. I highly recommend stopping in just to ogle the nice lady behind the counter.

Why does that deal at sherlocks start at 7, don't the happy hours usually start more 530-6? I'll be in that part of town about 5. Sadly i'm not gonna drive all the way home and then back at 7.

Tacos were good this morning.

Alphamale, Bob, Obi Wan and myself were in attendance.

many topics discussed and a majority of the worlds problems solved. Overall pretty successful, just be careful googling anything Alphamale tells you to.
