I'd had their carnitas before, which I'm convinced, coupled with their green salsa, is the best carnitas taco in town.
I tried out their cochinita taco for lunch just now and it was crazy-flavorful. I think my favorite part of their tacos is that they're juicy.
Carnitas and cochinita tacos are the owner's two favorites, I discovered today, so I knew I was ordering well.
Because they're served out of a taco truck I recommend eating them on-location or placing them somewhere in your car that you don't mind staining with taco juice.
All this said, carne guisada, my favorite taco, is not their strongest suit, so stick to pork tacos here and you'll be very pleased.

You had introduced us to Chela's Tacos a couple years ago, I think. Back then I wasn't so impressed because I got the carne guisada and it wasn't that great compared to Aguascalientes. But I was just ordering wrong. Do you actually know the guy, or just stalk his truck?

Blanco BBQ has started to serve breakfast tacos. I was extremely disappointed. Very, very, very little meat; basically all eggs and a tortilla. The eggs are dry and taste like they were reheated in a microwave. Even with the potato and egg they were stingy on the potato, just three small squares and a lot of nasty eggs.
The best thing was they had a mariachi band out on the street to advertise that they now serve breakfast tacos.
I still like their BBQ though.

I am obsessed with breakfast tacos. I have been to many places in many different cities. I am from Victoria where I lived for 19 years. I have lived in San Antonio for 5 years. Comal County tacos on hwy 46 is the best I have ever had.
These just might be the best tacos in town if people are willing to kill for them

Patty's has a decent Carne Guisada. Their Tortillas are very consistent. THeir Chorizo and Egg and Potato and Egg tacos are excellente as well. Not too big a fan on their green salsa, but it does the trick.

Personally I think Taco Haven is overrated
I like the Carne Guisada at Tommy's. Very tender.
Also love the Chorizo at Bandera Rd Cafe. Easily my favorite.

Taco Haven is up there with Chris Madrid's on my list of overrated places in SA. The tacos are fine but as someone who has lived and works in the area there are 4 or 5 other places nearby i will go to before there.

Tommy's is very solid overall, though the San Pedro location doesn't quite stack up to the others.

I've been to lupita's on culebra (not discussed but close to my work), tink-a-taco also on culebra, and the original donut shop. I think next are Rolando's super tacos and taco haven.
I also want to hit up Taqueria Aguas Calientes since its 2 minutes from my new house.

Ya, I need a Saturday to properly break in Aguascalientes. I want to do a sit down breakfast there so I can focus on the carne guisada everyone has been raving about.
Lupitas, Tink-a-taco are good, I think I favor Tink-a-taco a bit since the tacos are bigger. I am not a fan of the green and red sauces that most places give. I grew up with and prefer a more chunky almost similar to a ground up pico type salsa that is fresh and not cooked. Different strokes for different folks...
The original donut shop is very good too, but doesn't stand out enough for me to justify the drive over there for me.
If you want a hole in the wall lunch type place, lupita's in my opinion has the market cornered...I've had the puffy tacos and chicken fajitas, and it is excellent. The flavor of the rice and beans is delicious.
Already up ~7-10 lbs in 1.5 months.
