I also going to throw out a bit different suggestion and say Tink-A-Tako off Babcock and Heubner. Local chain but the one in stone oak isn't bad.

Friendly staff, clean restaurant (last few inspections had low demerits), solid food Las Chiladas is my favorite.

I guess a taco meeting once a month will bring out the most people.

went to Chayito's for lunch and had the Chilaquiles plate with chorizo mixed in. Topped with the red and green sauce it looked like a fiesta party decoration on a plate. Also tasted pretty damn good. The potatoes were somewhat bland but the beans had great flavor. Overall very satisfied with the meal.

I think it was decided we will have to host a taco meeting there in the upcoming weeks.

10,000th should've been a Taco-blast post. But good call on noticing the blistering pace this board maintains in relation to other area boards.

Chayitos needs to be a breakfast destination for us at least once. The carne guisada was pretty high up there. Tortillas were great. Your chilaquiles plate looked like Christmas morning on a plato.

According to my Taco Thread index Taco Garage is mentioned on pages 4, 5, and 26. Not my favorite place but pretty good. I think i may stop by there for Tacos this weekend.

A buddy got married in Blanco a few weekends ago and hired Chelas Taco Truck to drive out there and cater a midnight snack. Best part was it was already paid for. And the brides friends/family from the chicagoland area got a kick as well.

He set the bar pretty high and now I think any wedding, shower, or party is gonna be incomplete without a late night taco truck.

Their guisada was really good and they had a chicken cilantro something or other that was really good. And some kind of pork carnitas I think, like I said it was a midnight visit.

Went to Los Habañeros off Callaghan (next to Chunky's) on a friend's recommendation and was delighted by some taco goodness. Great tortillas, some of the best beans I've had in SA, good meat, good variety, and *****ly pear for los tacos. Again, I'll leave it up to the pros to analyze if Habañeros has been mentioned before, but +1 anyway.

I went by Taco garage on Saturday. The chorizo and egg were ok but the Chilaquiles were pretty good. Good tortillas. Overall solid place but not going to be in my top 10.

I also went by a place called Las Pichanchas off of Fredicksburg this weekend. Interesting place. Cash only and the waitress uniform is apparently a red miniskirt with fishnet stockings. Kind of an interesting sight for a sunday morning. Tacos were pretty good but not great.
