I fear no-one going into the playoffs from the west. Don't care who it is, bring em' on!!

The upper bowl seats for the 1st round were going for $35/seat. But those all sold out in about 30 mins. You can get lower bowl tickets still I think.
I bought a pair of upper bowl tickets for Round 3 and 4 if they make the conference or Stanley Cup finals. Decent pricing.

Who do we end up playing?? Nashville took the 1st spot in the Central now, but both the Jets and the Blues only 1 point back.
And if we lose out we could end up with Calgary

I can't believe Winnipeg let Colorado come back and win last night.
This is going to be a crazy finish to the season. We have 4 potential first round matchups. I know we dominated Calgary in the regular season, but I'd rather our 1st round matchup be against the Central...I think. I don't even know any more.
In the central, Nashville (most likely now) would be fun heading into next season, but I think they're the tougher out. St. Louis would continue our history of facing them in the post season, and there's some bad blood there. I think I would still rather play Winnipeg though. Whatever ends up happening, I'm excited for playoff hockey.
Crazy thing is, I think we have just as good of a shot making a deep run as we do a first round exit. The west just isn't all that strong, and we're playing the style of hockey that can really carry you far in the playoffs. I've seen a lot of folks calling us the dark horse of this year's playoffs, and I'm starting to buy into that. At this point, why NOT us?

I'm right there with you, but I have a buddy from St. Louis, and he said the same thing about us.
I really don't care who the Stars play. I think they are in good form right now and could give anybody in the west trouble. Just hope they don't have to play Tampa in the finals.

I'd rather play Tampa in the Finals than in the first round like my Blue Jackets.... Needing some luck to play the Caps instead.

I get the strategy of resting guys, but not when you still have something to play for. If they mess around tomorrow night, they may have to go through the Pacific. Not a winning strategy, as far as I'm concerned. Besides, I HATE the late night starts for playoff games.

Game 1 & 2 will very likely be on Wed/Fri due to a concert scheduled at Bridgestone. In an odd scheduling twist, I won't be covering Game 1. I have to be in downtown Chicago for a sports media thing. So anyone know any good hockey bars in downtown Chicago?

Why the hell is the Dallas/Nashville game at 8:30 central time on a weekday???
Ben Bishop has never lost a playoff series* when healthy.
Dobby was pretty dominant against Nashville this season.
Rinne is allowing almost 1/2 goal more per game than Bishop.
Dallas and Nashville rank 2 and 3 in goals against.
Nashville's power play has been atrocious all season (last place), while Dallas' penalty kill is 5th best in the league.
Dallas has the 11th best power play, while Nashville's penalty kill is ranked 6th.
This series is set up to be a goaltending and special teams battle. In which case, give me the Stars in 6.

It sucks, but USA network is broadcasting games this year (in addition to NBCSN and CNBC). For game 1, the TB/Columbus game starts at 6, so that pushes our start time to 8:30. On Monday, we're pushed back by the Washington/Carolina game. Almost as bad as a west coast series, but not quite.
If you remember, Dallas had multiple games like that during their 2016 run. In 2014, they had a couple of games begin at 9:30 p.m. because they played Anaheim.FWAppraiser said:joshpettett said:

I'll need to check with the peeps at FSSW, but many times the first couple of rounds are carried locally as well.
They're just lining up the schedule right now to see which games can/will be on the main channel and which, if any, will need to go on FSSW+.
