Thanks man. We're good. We were okay during Harvey so I'm not too worried. I grew up in Frisco and have had my fair share of hail storms and tornadoes. Not sure which whether I prefer flood waters or tornadoes..
Great season, boys. We definitely are on the right path. Need to sign Zuccorello and get John's back.

In 3 years we went from goaltending failing the team in game 7 of the 2nd round vs. the Blues to the team letting the goaltender down...in game 7 of the 2nd round vs. the Blues. If there was going to be an end, it's only fitting. Bishop has been this team's MVP and goalscoring was a problem for large stretches all season.
Hintz has turned into the pleasant surprise of the season (other than Dobby), and there's a lot to like going forward, but still plenty lacking heading into the offseason.

You expect your captain to come up big for you when you need him the most. Benn had several chances to put pucks in the net. 3 GREAT chances that I remember. All squandered opportunities

When your Captain consistently misses wide open nets, you are not going to win many hockey games. What did he have, one goal this series? He missed key gimmies the last two games.
The Stars were completely inept in both center ice and the attacking zone for 90% of the night.
Herculean effort by Bishop, but the rest of the team largely played a very ugly game.
Here's hoping they can hold onto most of this talent and hit the ground running next season

The better team won. It's a minor miracle this wasn't 4-1 in regulation. Good season from a team that not much was expected.

Blues might have deserved to win in regulation but the Stars were the better team in OT. We had owned 2OT before that bull**** goal. I ****ing hate St Louis. Such bull****

Heck of a ride this season. Shame we had to go out like that, but man you have to believe we're going to be contenders every year Bishop is healthy. I think our top line just ran out of gas...hard to carry a team through an entire season + 2 playoff rounds. We need 1-2 more forwards (Zucc needs to be one of those) in order to get over the hump.
Looking forward to the future with Monty at the helm and Hintz/Miro having a year of experience under them.

I agree. They made a good run at it. Looking forward to next year. I watched the run they made when winning the Stanley Cup. It was awesome.
Consolation prize is that we keep our 1st round draft pick and it stays a second rounder in 2019 to NY for Zuc.

After sleeping on it, I am thankful for a good season (after the all-star game) and a good playoff run. In order to take the next step, this team will need to hang on to its talent and find some scoring talent for the 2nd and 3rd lines (pony up, Gaglardi).
This team has enough talent (if kept together) going forward to make some noise but it needs to grow up and be consistent from the get go and its top 2 players either need to step up their game and leadership abilities or give way to younger, hungrier guys. Finally, can't say enough good things about Bishop, glad we have him around for a while.

Re-sign Zucc and go after a top4 bruiser of a defenseman if available. I'm not too familiar with what the free agent market looks like this offseason, so who knows if one is available. I wouldn't mind grabbing another young speed demon to add to the 3rd line too.
Defense/net minding is very solid - need scorers
It felt our defensemen couldn't do anything about Maroon down low. It would have been nice if we had someone that could move him, besides polak, who I can't stand to watch.

If they tried they would've gotten called for interference or embellishment. Not that I'm still bitter about that...

Karlsson is one of the best Defensemen in hockey and is an unrestricted free agent. San Jose can offer him 8 years to everyone else's 7, but he hasn't accepted any offers yet. Dallas was one of 3 cities he asked to be traded to from Ottowa originally.
Resigning Zucc is a must, and there are a couple of really good wings and centers. I read that Dallas has $25M in cap space going into next year. Zucc will probably command $6M of that.

I'm still pissed about the refs. This entire series had some of the worst officiating I've ever seen in my life
We already have the d man we need on the roster, johns , and he should be good to go next season.
