I agree with the 9/10 ratings.
Combat is excellent, visually it's probably the best looking game on PS5, and it improved on everything I didn't love about the first game. Can't remember the last game I've played that much in a short timespan that I didn't get tired of.

I love Koroks. One of my favorite parts of the BotW
Game is pretty awesome so far. My first holy crap moment so far was hitting the Icycle freezing a glider in place after finishing third temple and then launching and gliding down to the temple of time. Didn't realize that's what would happen and jumping off the glider into the water below was pretty cool.
It's a nice touch that stables still have your BOTW horses.
I love the Japanese obsession with capsule machines

I'm trying to make my way up towards the NW part of the map. Fell into the canyon and was driving around in there which is where I found the talos. The hynox or whatever the trolls are called I found somewhere around there south of the canyon. The wilds are dangerous… keep to the roads baby links!
One thing I'm constantly amazed with is the game design in botw and this game. They visually lead you in the direction they want you to go without you really realizing it.
I love that Like Likes are in this game. I don't remember them being in BOTW. Seeing the bomb flowers was cool

Can't stop playing this thing. Have over 20 hours already. Haven't really touched the main story waypoints yet in the "main" regions if you will. Just loved exploring the map, and have uncovered a few really cool secrets that have made all the exploration worth it.
Man this game is so much fun. I also have not touched the main campaign once I got down to the ground level. I've been running around unlocking the sky towers and exploring. There is so much to see and get distracted by.
I love the new skills. It adds so much value to the game. It makes playing so much more free and creative. It's amazing to see the things people are coming up with

Same here. 20 hours in, still have yet to make it to one of the four main areas.
Explored around Kakariko, Hateno, did a couple raids, found some shrines, and explored some wells.
One of my favorite running gags in this game is "startling" anyone who is looking into a chasm. It's making me chuckle every time

Just made my best weapon yet. Naydra Sledge, a spear that does 44 damage (when wet) and freezes enemies.

The "it's just a botw dlc" crowd is having a rough weekend.

I like how this game can even make picking up a stick fun because of what you can attach to it. A stick by itself is a bad weapon, a stick with a boulder attached to it is a fun weapon.
Zora's Domain spoiler: I love that there's a new statue depicting Link on Sidon's back from BOTW. Really enjoy feeling like a triumphant hero returning to visit old friends.
Not looking for any spoilers (until I'm stuck and have to google something). So I'll just drop in to say this game is incredible.

My god. And here I am unable to figure out some of the shrines…
Up to 26 hours, and just now started continuing the main quest. (Started with Zora's Domain like I did in BOTW.)
Re-aquired the Champion's Tunic, two of the Barbarian armor set, and the climbing vest.
I feel like when I played BOTW for the first time. It feels entirely new, yet familiar. It's an amazing feeling.
This game is a shoe-in to win GOTY.

Makes you feel any better a well or two I jumped down I was flummoxed how to get out after I went in. Started going through the ability wheel (close to ten minutes later) until I finally remembered a core mechanic of the game is ascent...
And I just had the idea today to try and build a simple seesaw style catapult.

WTF. Zelda does Command & Conquer with full on Prism tanks and ORCAs?!? My 12 year old self is melting down.
Of the 4 regions for the main quests, what was everyone's route? I did rito and then gerudo. I liked them both in botw, not only for the dungeon and story but also because they gave the best special skills.
Rito was awesome this time around. Gerudo had a couple awesome things... But I did not enjoy it and the main character in the storyline is pretty annoying (in multiple ways).

I started off in the direction of Rito, then got a little sidetracked. Now here we are 15-20 hours later and I still haven't made it there..
