An hour in, I've collected a bunch of tree branches, wooden sticks, skyshrooms, restless crickets, hot-toed frogs, apples, and some zonai materials so far.

Amazon says my copy has shipped
I have been checking every hour, on the hour; no change for me, just says by 11pm but if I click on the delivery time it says by 10pm. I seriously want to just cancel my amazon order and go pick it up from best buy... I'm just worried that best buy may be lying to me about it being in stock.
That's exactly what I just did. Found it at Best Buy and ordered it for pick up when they open tomorrow. I'll cancel the Amazon order when I have it in hand.
Crazy that we can wait years and years for this game... And then we can't wait 24 hrs for an Amazon order!
Not that I pre-order games at all (I'm more of a pc player on steam) but, if Amazon doesn't have the game at my doorstep by noon, I'm not sure why I'd pre-order a game with them ever again. Seems like I'm not the only one who'd rather not wait if I could just walk into Walmart/target/best buy/etc and grab one off the shelf.

Woke my son up by blasting the Zelda theme in his room this morning. He can't wait to get home from school.
My youngest, 11, got up early and played for 2 hours before school lol

Only played for about an hour last night. Half was bad ass cut scenes. Still on the "great plateau" / tutorial portion but great so far.
Only played for about an hour but already loving it. Legend of Zelda games are just on another level.
Side note - is the Master Sword the most badass/best designed weapon in video game history?

Played about an hour last night. Got through all the story setup, what seemed like 30+ minutes of cutscenes, and completed the first shrine. Can't wait to get back home after work and really get into it.

- Link hums old themes when he cooks now. Heard the Zelda theme and Hyrule Field from OoT.
- Slight story spoiler: Ganondorf with a Rauru reference right off the bat. Confirms this is the same Ganondorf we've always known from OoT. Edit -- Well, nevermind! Still a cool easter egg.
- Chills at the title drop.

Shrines are back. Flying is fun. Plays just like BOTW so son picked it up fast and running with it. Good times!
My kid recently broke my left L button, so it was fun finding out in the first shrine you essentially cant play the game without it, and cannot change that button setting. I never played BOTW so I was pretty excited for this one...

Tried to cancel the Amazon order. They said it was being prepared for shipping and they would try to cancel it but it may not happen. It shipped this afternoon.

Wow. This fuse mechanic/power is ****ing terrible. I hate this thing. They somehow made the game even more cumbersome by forcing you to dismantle and fuse together **** to make weapons and crap. I don't understand how this **** works and can already tell it's going to annoy me to the end.
The item you want to fuse onto your weapon or shield has to be on the ****ing ground. Sorry, but this is just bad game design.
