Did you? I heard it was performing poorly. Like <18fps poorly.

Weapon degradation wasn't too bad once you knew where to go to quickly pick up re-spawned weapons. Were many hidden spawned weapons within a min of a transportation portal. Spending 5-10 min hitting them every opportunity soon gave me more decent weapons than I could use. Or more than my kid can use anyway. He always assigned me weapon/food/arrow farming duty (always kept him at 900+) so he could play the game lol.

My pre-ordered copy just started downloading. Are they releasing early?

Sweet! Been wondering when that would start. I just went into store, backed out and it started pre-loading. Pre-loading is great so you can start playing at midnight EST.

Best Buy sent me an email to make sure my address is correct.

No idea if that indicates the shipping is imminent. Fingers crossed it ships early!

How large is the game?

Not that anyone probably needs it, but here's a recap of BOTW by Zeltik, who always puts out quality stuff.

Not too bad considering Jedi Survivor was a 150gb+ download. Heck, the first patch was 7gb.

Bought and downloaded on my youngest son's Switch. I guess it will just unlock on Friday. He's already asking to skip school on Friday lol!

I pre-ordered from Target because i had a gift card. Had to get a physical copy since they don't offer digital. Starting to feel like that might have been a mistake. I'm going to be like 18 hours behind you guys..

But the physical box is pretty nice to have. Also, any pre-order bonus? I'm getting a nice art print from Best Buy.

My youngest tends to lose those tiny little cartridges, so a higher capacity SD card and buying games on the eShop is what we tend to do. Can always redownload purchases on a new switch and if multiple switches are in the family, can download the game on all of them and people can play at the same time.

Nah, Target didn't have anything to offer. I'm still also kinda stuck in the old school mindset where i like to have the physical copy. Don't know why. I'm only that way with Switch games.

I know this is going to be a lame complaint but, after having played BotW most recently on the wiiu emulator (cemu), it is going to kinda stink to have to go back to the switch to play.

30 fps and 900p is kinda atrocious in this day and age. I'm still super hyped for the game but I just wanted to make a minor complaint. Silly to think BotW through emulator will look better than a brand new 2023 game.

This is a demonstration (although not a huge fan of the shader thus guy is utilizing - frankly unnecessary) between switch and emulator.


Even more relevant with some of the "leaks" saying the frame rate is really rough.
