I collected 2/3 or it last night. Failed once at reaching the sky island i needed to get to to collect the third and final piece, then called it a night.

And speaking of, I don't know how anyone could find half the stuff in this game without reading any guides. I could play this game for 1000+ hours and there's stuff i'm 100% sure i would never find on my own.

I've played an (un)healthy amount of time already, cleared the four regions, and still feel only halfway done with this game. I've got 3/4's of the depths to explore, I've honestly barely touched the sky islands other than story and to find the glide suit, and am only half way through the shrines. I don't feel bad duplicating the grindy stuff knowing there is still so much to explore.

I will say that setting the Sensor+ to treasure chests in caves has helped.

He's the type of gamer who avoids guides and youtube videos. He'd rather find things himself. I did check, and the auto-update on his switch was on. I don't think he even knew about the glitches.

Another thing I love about the game, and I was apprehensive about, are the depths. I just though, ok so you go underground where you can't see anything...ok? Every time I fire a brightbloom seed on an arrow I'm curious what' it's going to look like. It's quiet and you hear something in the distance and don't know wtf it is. You think ok it's time to head back up...but let me try to get to that lightroot way over there first. It's been an unexpectedly awesome part of the game for me.

Damn. Progressing the game to a point where I don't even think I can talk about anything I'm doing without spoilers. I don't even know how to preface what the spoiler would be without it being a spoiler.

There is something so unlike Zelda games in this that happened and it was a very welcome change when I got to it.

Not trying to be click-baity, I just want to talk about it but I don't want to spoil it for anyone else.

Had a massive discovery underground.... fought King Gleeok!! I have been avoiding those things so far but this time decided to embrace the challenge and emerged victorious after five or so tries. Felt so good!!

Actually, the major quest just before this. I guess I was just so tuned into botw that I thought I was going to gannondorf and the castle to, ya know, beat the game! I don't know the last Zelda game where you "fight" Gannon but it's not the last battle of the game.

Maybe Windwaker? And even that is still early in the game.

Definitely gives me Mario vibes (fight bowser multiple times before you actually beat him). Again, I was just pleasantly surprised. I definitely wouldn't have been surprised for a Zelda game to just forget about the fifth sage and end the game there.

Is this game as ridiculous as all the videos of weird vehicles and contraptions show?

Maybe I'm just getting old. Just doesn't look like a Zelda game.

Having not played it yet, I like how my son described the game. It's BoTW with a mix of Minecraft and Roblox.

Don't want to give anything away, but highly recommend completing the "secret" dungeon before doing the final Kohga fight.

Makes for a far cooler fight.

Head for the middle of the thunderstorm cloud over Necluda. Make sure you have plenty of hearts. (I think 10+.) Look for a large door underground, it's next to a shrine.

Really good game.

Per the switch I've got 95 hours.... 23 hearts and full stamina. Have probably 70% of the underground unlocked but have only done two main story quests. Hope to start #3 (Goron) tomorrow. I've probably got at least another 50 hours with this game. Crazy.

I beat it a couple nights ago, as well. Finished at 32 hearts and full stamina. My biggest issue is now I don't have motivation to finish anything else.

Nintendo was just flexing that final fight.

20 hearts, 2 stamina bars. Did about 60 shrines.

Zonai set complete.

Upgrading it is a huge pain especially since the dupe glitch was patched

Finished up my dream home. Nice big living room, kitchen, and weapon display on the first floor. Bedroom and goddess statue upstairs.

I'm still blown away by how large the game world is, and how there's stuff hidden away in little nooks and crannies.

Upgrading some of these armor sets is such a slog

Agreed I feel bad about googling stuff but the place is so massive and there are caves and wells everywhere.

Drop fruit under cherry blossom trees to reveal caves.
