Still nothing but sleet in east Dallas.
Update, big flurries now in Fort Worth. Legit snow storm.
Still sleet in north Dallas/Richardson. Pretty amazed at how much rain must have fallen based on the pool level. Tree are coated and sagging some.
Daughter drove home from her friend's house a half mile away in an all wheel drive car and said it wasn't bad. Not a recommendation to get out and yes we are apparently bad parents.

Downtown Dallas at my office. Just sleet. Roads weren't all that bad. While it will stay below freezing the roads will improve with traffic on them. Cars bust up the ice with their pressure and heat. That said, if you have a 2WD vehicle and do not know how to act right driving in ice, stay home!

Cancelled. Since we are all back in person, I don't even maintain a virtual classroom and we don't offer an online learning option for students.
So to try and switch to an online day at the last minute would be a lot of effort for very little pay off.
Hell I'd be tempted to say I lost power and couldn't log on.

Most of the ice here in East Dallas isn't hard. Ground was so warm there is a layer of slush then ice/sleet that cars are breaking up fairly easy. Not sure about bridges.

Yeah, partially iced over wind turbine is a good guess. I've had that happen.

Haven't seen any precipitation in Lake Highlands in several hours, and the forecast keeps bumping it out later and later. Wonder if we're done.

I think mine is the wind turbine. I have 3. Two are turning fine and the one over the master is stopped. Just loaded the truck bed up w bricks and crap from the garage. Looks like they're releasing the wife from the hospital today. If you see a brown chevy colorado cutting donuts on a FW overpass say hi.

Huge snowflakes in far west Fort Worth (Chapel Creek and I-30) for the past 2 hours. The heavy stuff is gone now - mostly smaller flakes and that should end shortly. Sons are having a blast with their sleds and bikes.

Good snow in south Frisco now. Big fluffy stuff. Probably a quarter inch of accumulation on top of the ice and sleet we already got.
Far North Dallas (Hillcrest/Beltline area) looking SW towards the galleria.
Still sleeting pretty good in Rockwall area.
Yep, hopefully the snow gets here soon (for the kids sake). I went for a walk earlier in our neighborhood. Live Oaks really took it on the chin lots of limbs down.
