I learned something today!

We will not be above freezing Thursday.

Friday has gone from 40 with yesterday's models to 34 with this morning's for a high.

Saturday has gone from 45 to 39.

Tonight's weather update from the NWS is when the models really lock in (48 hours out).

Check the paint sections. The medium to heavy duty 'cloth' drop cloths (not plastic) will also work.

Look at Amazon. I show delivery still available for tomorrow on some items still.

This event has been in the back of mind. I'm really hoping it doesn't turn out that way.

Latest GFS model run has a quarter inch of ice for DFW, with another half inch of sleet / freezing rain on top of that.

I'm already down to just 1 patient on Thursday and 2 on Friday. Hope they cancel. Our clinic will expect us all to drive in if patients are scheduled. Mckinney to Preston-Forest is not a drive I plan on making

I wrapped exterior hose bibs with incandescent Christmas lights and covered with the usual cheap cover from HD/Lowe's. The weakness is loss of power but it worked great last year.

Guess the patients aren't looking. I'm back up to a full schedule for both days. Several of them from out of town/state. We have a hotel on campus and they've already sent out information saying they expect us to stay at the hotel on Wednesday night if we're worried about driving in on Thursday.

Some of these models are showing the freezing line moving through a little faster than previously thought. Hoping that is the case as it means more snow and less freezing rain.

Even the weather channel (which is usually very conservative) has the change from FR to Snow happening quicker. I think wunderground is forecasting a little over 2" (twss protected) in my neighborhood around the Denton/Little Elm area.

It all depends on how large the Warm Nose is which will determine the type of precipitation.
