I'll say this, if Jozy is healthy he is probably still the starter up top right now. It would be great if one of these players could push him to the bench, because it's generally not great to rely on him staying healthy.

There is a world cup in '22, and if he is better then he will play. Or even for the qualifying, if he is better at that time play the best players.Superblood Wolfmoon said:PatAg said:

If you can't help us in '26, I don't want them playing.

This is my team too.PatAg said:
I do really enjoy the club game, but I still think it just doesn't compare to the national games in terms of how much I care.
I even grew up playing and following the game and I still feel that way. Maybe it's different if you live in England or Germany, and the team you root for is actually your neighborhood/city team.
Correct...isn't it January?oh no said:
Musah and Gioacchini's, and Soto's for that matter, caps during this Intl break do not cap-tie them to USA, since they were friendlies, right? How soon can USA get them cap-tied?
I read that Musah does not because he only ever played friendlies for the England youth teams somehowakm91 said:
I think it has to be an actual FIFA match (or whatever the terminology is), so the WC qualifying matches, Nations League matches are the ones that will cap tie a player.
I think Musah needs to file a one time switch to play for the US but not sure about Gioachinni.
He looked very solid.oh no said:
ooof. didn't watch the 2nd half v wales and was in and out today. Didn't realize Johnny played. How'd he look?
I don't think he did anything to hurt his stock and is definitely in contention for the backup spot. The nice thing is he may also be eligible for the U-23's as well.oh no said:

Ok, I wasn't sure. Thought he may have captained England's youth team in official competitions.PatAg said:I read that Musah does not because he only ever played friendlies for the England youth teams somehowakm91 said:

Yea, I think the first one is in January.akm91 said:

Weah isn't cap-tied either.oh no said:
Are these all the non-cap tied Intl players from the squad today? I'm not sure what risk USA has of not getting some of them (i.e. if Brazil has no interest in Johnny). Hopefully there are some FIFA cup events in the next few months were we can pretty much lock some of these guys down.
Johnny Cardoso: Brazil
Yunus Musah: England, Italy, Ghana
Nicholas Gioacchini: Italy, Jamaica
Konrad de la Fuente: Spain
Sebastian Soto: Chile (previously rejected a call-up that would have cap-tied him to Chile, not yet tied to USA)
Owen Otasowie: England
Chituru Odunze: Canada, England
Gotcha. I was thinking of the traditional January camp/friendlies. I didn't realize there were official matches in January. WC Qualifying doesn't start until March so that's why I was confused.Superblood Wolfmoon said:Yea, I think the first one is in January.akm91 said:

I may be wrong but I could've sworn we had one then. May be March.akm91 said:Gotcha. I was thinking of the traditional January camp/friendlies.
