I would argue Wood lived up to his potential but his knees fell apart in the process. He had some really big goals for USNT.

I like the potential of Llanez a lot... But I don't think Weah is going to pan out. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

I think he's the most "there" or closer to "there" than any other 9's that I know of.

Pretty sure Weah is more of a winger
He subbed at center forward for Lille last match but does play all over. Definitely not a true 9.

But then it becomes a chicken-egg thing. If he's not getting the best development and/or playing opportunities at the club level, he's not going to reach his full potential for USMNT.

He's still very young. I would imagine either Bremen will increase in quality in the next year, or he will look to move on. It would really help his value, and maybe even development, to get playing time with the national team and show his quality.

As far as #9 is concerned we have 3 real guys. Sargent, llanez, and Soto. Soto is flirting with Chile and the other 2 are far from sure things in terms of development. We really need someone to take that step and we need Soto to commit to the US.

Was pretty sure he played striker for us back before. If so we're down to Soto and Sargent and that's really sketchy.

We have Gioachinni, plays in Europe as well.
