We could almost field a CL quality starting 11 out of only injured players.

Yep, out of Houston area.

That penalty was ridiculous! These injuries are even more infuriating. At least the Lallana one doesn't hurt us this time though.

I can't with this VAR bullcrap. Im not a conspiracy nut but using millimeters to determine offside and not sticking to their "clear and obvious" guideline for penalty decisions is freaking ridiculous.

That's where I am as well. It's one thing to clear up the big misses but my taking the flow out of the game you are ruining it. I feel the same about instant replay in all sports.

VAR is just dumb........

If you're a foot offsides, sure it's an advantage and the speed of these players means you should call it back.

But **** is just dumb and that penalty was worse. Do they not put into context the actual play. The offensive player didn't have possession and Robbo was just clearing the ball

Klopp's presser this morning was basically just listing off all the players we have injured. Apparently we won't see Thiago back before the new year.

Happy Holidays...

From the start that transfer seemed like atypical business for Edwards/Klopp. They rarely chase older players or established stars. I'm beginning to wish they had stuck to their overall strategy and passed on Thiago. At this point I'm worried he will be Aquilani 2.0 and only play a handful of games.

Had he been injured often before?

We've had a run of long-term and nagging injuries the past year. Naby is constantly out, Shaq has something that's been bugging him off and on, VVD and Thiago are both gone (thanks Everton!), then there's been multiple weeks-long injuries to Milner, TAA, Hendo, Alisson et al. Our attacking players have been remarkably healthy (knock on wood), but our midfield and backline have been the walking wounded all summer/fall.

Thiago has missed a number of games in his career. I wouldn't say he's one of those guys that's always injured but he is prone to them.

Naby just hasn't been able to get his career of the ground with us and it's sad as I think he'd be a great contributor for us. Shaq...yikes. Dude has had a rough go the last couple years for sure.

I still can't believe they didn't bring in a replacement for Lovren. As soon as he left I kept thinking it would bite us in the ass if we don't replace him and it damn well is.

Good news is that we end with Midtyyland so that SHOULD be 3 pts and that's all we need to move on.

What's interesting is that the CB replacements (Fab, Williams and Phillips) have played well so far. I'm hopeful that the team will start to find some rhythm now that the international breaks are over for a while and we'll see more consistency.

"Then we had to make the decision: Queev or Adrian. And Queev, I know him pretty much five years, four years for sure I'm not sure when he came to the first team, training with us and stuff like this.

"He's just improving and improving and improving and he's a football-playing goalie, good shot-stopper, which is obviously the most important thing. My job is to make decisions and I did that."

Sounds like Klopp wanted to give the young man a shot. It clearly paid off, Kelleher just looks more comfortable and reliable than Adrian. Smart move by Klopp....he is pretty good at this coaching thing...

I didn't get a chance to see the game but I love the write ups. I like Adrian but damn he made some boneheaded plays this year while Alisson was out. Kelleher clearly proved he was up to the task too.

Curious who starts this next weekend....I'm also surprised to see a damn goalie that gets hurt as much as Alisson...

Someone posted this on the USMNT thread. Tons of LFC folks on the list, sadly most of them are injured currently. Interesting read anyway.
