Not really happy that he thought the fans would be ok with this. I'm even more unhappy that Liverpool wasn't one of the first ones out the door when it became clear that this was a disaster.
His apology rings hollow. We know who you are Mr. Henry. Don't expect to be forgiven anytime soon.

I don't disagree, but it is nice to see someone take some personal responsibility and attach their name to it instead of the vague passive-voice press releases we've been seeing from clubs the last 24 hours.
FSG has stepped in it badly several times since they took charge.
They've also listened to feedback and changed things when they do it.
Would be nice if they'd understand after the furlough fiasco just what a terrible idea and look this was, but they've done a lot of good with the bad and I think they truly want the best for the club...even if they don't always understand what the fans actually want.

What I don't understand is how they didn't do some market research before moving ahead with this plan. Hit up 5 pubs around Anfield, it ain't hard, and see what the fans feel (and how strongly they feel it).
It is also a bad look to make such a huge decision, then not have the stones to carry it through. It looks like what it is, a dumb / unthoughtful money grab - where they ended up looking even dumber for having attempted to do it.

I think one of the hardest things for Americans to deal with when trying to understand the UK is how hyperbolic their press and culture are. Especially when anything remotely related to the "working class" is brought up. If you listened to Gary Neville over the last few days, you would think Hitler had been reincarnated and he was running the six breakaway clubs. I think that's why Jurgen Klopp called out Neville's rhetoric when asked about the ESL after the Leeds game.
The people calling for FSG to sell the club are ridiculous. FSG brought Liverpool FC out of the stone age. They preserved and improved Anfield, and have invested in the clubs infrastructure to ensure its future. Management in every organization makes questionable decisions now and then. Liverpool is lucky enough to have an owner that at least listens when the fans go berzerk. If the ESL was happening and Liverpool were not involved, the same people going insane right now would be on the other side of the fence bemoaning that Liverpool were being left in the dust.

If you look at the state of the club in comparison to its peers, Liverpool is in an enviable position primarily because of FSG's stewardship.

The other danger in asking for FSG to sell the club is that the realistic buyers are few and mostly russian/middle eastern. Sometimes the devil you know is best.
Yeah, I'm not on team #FSGout either. They've run the club rather smartly (this present fiasco nonwithstanding) and I don't want to see us be the latest club bought as a sportswashing front.
