Not going to lie. When I woke up and saw that mane and Bobby were out today, I didn't get my hopes up.
But dang, the boys played well today. Defended well given the circumstances and the forwards really picked it up in the second half. Another 3 points midweek will lead to a huge game next Sunday!

Looks like we are looking to get Ozan Kabak on loan as well. Apparently Shalke wants us to include a mandatory buy clause for 30 million euro. Liverpool were keen on Kabak in the summer transfer window, but passed on him. He has had some disciplinary issues and Shalke are the worst defensive team in the bundesliga, so I'm not that excited about this one....but Klopp clearly knows what he is doing, so I'm sure there is solid potential in Kabak.
I was thinking how no one is probably going to catch City, but then I looked at their upcoming schedule. Feb, March, and April are pretty full-up with games against teams in the top ten teams in the league. I still think they're playing good enough to take the title, but it's not as sure as I thought it was earlier.
I too am happy about Davies and curious about Kabak. A defensive line can be porous with one good defender and I definitely trust the front office, but I haven't seen him play.
I'm guessing LFC and Klopp have probably watched him more hahaha

Any update on Jota? I feel like last week or so Klopp said he wasn't close but maybe I'm misremembering.

I wonder how much of holding out Mane (and Bobby early in) is just resting them so they're fully fit for City.
Reports out that Southhampton are interested in a loan of Minamino for the remained of the season. I'm honestly not opposed to it - I like Taki, but he rarely sees the field for us.

I saw someone comment on this a few weeks ago but through the Everton game (week 5) we had allowed 13 goals. In the 16 games since then they've allowed 11.

Jota posted a video of him doing what looked like full training yesterday. So that's cool.
Huge to have Jota back in training. Mane is out again so could be a similar lineup with Bobby on for Origi.
You don't think we try to coast a bit today and make sure we're as fully rested as we can be for Sunday?
Man, I hope we don't coast today. We need those three points badly.
Not "coast" coast but maybe not a full strength lineup. But it looks like we put the best XI out there we can so let's roll. Maybe they'll be pedal tk the metal again knowing they don't have Allison in bsck and keep those goals flying.

Sucks but it was a deserved result. Played like garbage with zero urgency or imagination. Huge step back from the last two wins. If we miss out on top four it'll be because of this and the Burnley loss - two bad teams taking all three points at Anfield.
