I get home from work, get the kids to bed, head downstairs and realize I have a ton of texts letting me know I'm missing our stupid HOA board meeting. Quickly log into that and suffer through 2 hours of inane debate.
Finally finish, pour myself a big glass of special birthday scotch, pop on the game, and my stupid dvr jumps from the pregame tribute to Gerrard Houllier to 62' into the game. If I don't get to see the end I'm gonna break something.

Given the number of injuries this year, the fact the squad is back on top of the table is simply incredible.
LFC is doing a fantastic job with player development. I didn't even know who Rhys Williams was last year and now he holds his own against the second best team in England. We all pay attention to player signings, but the work done on the youth and backroom staff has probably been our secret weapon. Klopp for President.

I fully agree. Williams had a great game yesterday defensively, he won damn near every aerial ball, and I don't recall him missing a pass. Granted, he was playing long through balls like we get from Gomez or VVD but I don't blame him for playing it safe.
On top of that, Jones looks really good too!

Curtis Jones man. He has been absolutely everywhere the last couple of matches. Until Thiago gets back he's got to be nailed in this team. He just looks like he belongs. He is going to be a stud. What a player.
I fully agree with that. I am very curious what Thiago can bring to the midfield and I think Jones is the odd man out. I'm sure he'll still play and he'll be in the rotation, just won't get as much time.
I do wonder, as the season goes on, if he takes some time from Gini since he appears to be leaving.

The difference now is where Liverpool is at + Klopp. I think Salah is still a competitor at his core and the route to trophies is as good at Liverpool as it is anywhere else in the world (I'd argue that the chances are higher here)
We have at least one starter going to RM or Barca every December, iirc. Salah is very happy at LfC and just said he wouldn't rule out playing for them. I've been really surprised and happy how we've kept our core together for so long. We'll lose someone eventually, but I think everyone realizes how special of a place we are in right now. Also, all these guys got front row seats to seeing how things went for Phil when he took "the next step."
Unless you are chasing a payday (or minutes for tier 2 guys) there's not another club I'd want to be on jn the world right now.
