Pretty sure the only humans left are "C" and her people. Everyone else is a robot.

I'm actually going to disagree on this one. I'm thinking everyone in New York is basically a human, save for the "guests" who are hosts, and whatever Christine is. All those people that froze around Caleb in New York are almost assuredly humans under Halores' control. I don't think she wants control of the hosts, as that would go against her entire philosophy.

You're right about that, my response was poorly worded. I meant "C" is the only main cast character that is a human. I agree that the people walking around the High line in New York are humans controlled by the flies and the radio signal.

Gotcha. It's funny how in the weekly Ringer podcast I listen to (about the show), along with a few reviews/articles I've read, they've all basically said something along the lines of, "At least there's still one human character left," obviously referring to Caleb, and now even he's "gone." But I do like that literally right as they got rid of the human version of him they "introduced" his daughter and her band of rebel humans. Will be interesting to see how well we get to know or connect with them over the next few weeks.

I agree with that sentiment. I was bummed when they revealed that Caleb had become a host, even if it was a good story telling move. I definitely think that there needs to be a main cast human character in the show. Guess now we'll get to know his daughter over the rest of the season.

So...how many are humans with parasites, how many are Hosts lookalikes?
I think she was lying about the children parasite thing she said.

Why would she lie about that, though? Seeing as everyone in New York looks to be around the same age, or at least *not* old, what she said makes perfect sense and seems to be exactly the case.
Because everyone in this show is trying to mind-f everyone else and essentially break their minds to then form how they please. They lie or misrepresent constantly.

I did think she said HIS kid was infected with the parasite, but her actual words are "your children" which I guess would imply humankind. Especially since he only has the one child.

So Im guessing that means they somehow didnt infect every kid, or the group of people Bernard is interacting with would also have parasites (including Calebs kid)

In Episode 3, there is a bit where bernard is just 'staring' into the future, and its rapidly cutting between scenes and seeming to cycle back and flow forward repeatedly.

At one point it shows the gas station, then the beetle, and then it looks like it cuts to a view from inside the 'tower' and he stands up and says "i do" after being asked "do you see now where its going"
He actually sees the sequence a couple times.

Its too quick to make out what he sees after the beetle though, at least at normal speed. Just a nice touch altogether.

I'm with y'all on the Teddy/Dolores seen. I couldn't tell if it was brilliantly meta, or just weird. It sort of seemed like both of them knew this world was fake and remembered the other from a past life, and at the same time it seemed like neither of them knew.

But I think that's what they were going for. Like sitting down on a blind date with someone you vaguely recognize and both trying to figure out how.

I think I disagree here. She's already in control of some hosts like William and Clementine right? Using them for her ends.

Until we see otherwise my assumption is that every host on team Hale is a Delores clone. (Caleb host does kind of go against that, but she may have perfected the "human mind to host" tech with him because he was able to resist the parasite and she wants to study why)

The Teddy scene was awkward, but I think that's on purpose. He's there to push her in some direction and she could tell on some level that something weird was going on. I think it's Hale trying to learn something about herself by experimenting on a fresh clone version. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's a plot to get to the sublime, or if teddy was sent by the humans (although you'd have to wonder how they knew about a lot of things in that case)

Another great episode, immediately after Maeve and William were buried it dawned on me what the weapon is, and I was super happy. Which was a good counter to the realization that there is now a Caleb host. It's also nice to have clarity on how long time has passed, which I think they said it was 23 years.

I enjoyed the Dolores and Teddy scene, it felt like they were winking at the audience, just a tease. I've been wondering if the two of them are currently hosts in the background of a much larger version of Westworld without realizing it. She's currently responsible for writing narratives at her job but is constantly more interested in the background characters so there's definitely some meta possibilities there. I am curious about her roommate, feels like there's something we don't know about her quite yet.

Definitely something weird with the roommate. I almost get romantic hints in their relationship. She seems pretty obsessed with finding a mate for Christina.

I think the roommate is a parasite-controlled human, used to help Halores learn how Christina interacts with people.

So we think most of the people in "New York World" are humans, but controlled by the parasite, but Caleb has to be a full on ball-in-the-head host right?

I don't have a good theory on what her whole deal is, but I think this is her "loop" so to speak.

Well, he hasn't aged from a mid-forties male in 23 years...so that's probably a good bet.

Yeah, just making sure we're all in agreement on terms.

There's classic ball-in-head hosts, there's parasite-infected-humans, and normal humans.

I think my question is are there "free" hosts or not.

So why couldn't Maeve hear the mind control noise? Didn't she hear in last episode? Maybe they were just using the silence when showing her to let the audience know she was immune to it? Because it seemed to have a severe effect on Hale and host William when Maeve turned the volume to 11.

She turned off her own hearing. You could see it on the monitor screen and that was the "it's not you I was trying to control" line.

I think the intention was that when we first start that scene, its him as a human experiencing it for the first time. And she is confused as to why he can resist.
Then towards the end, it has transitioned to him being the '278th version' and its a simulator for whatever reason.

Could be wrong though, but she said the first time he was there 'those lights arent your team' and see him being killed.
It's possible ALL of it is a mindgame, and he is infected with the parasite but going through some sort of process that is designed to break down his mind so he can be controlled.

I also don't remember the transitions between scenes being as disjointed as they were. It would basically fade out and cut to black, and then cut in a different story/timeline again.
I wonder if that is intended to communicate something about the story in some way

Ya for sure she is in some loop so I think she is a host programmed to look at Christina

I would like to be programed to look at Dolores. Especially while she changes out of silk pajamas.
