Thanks for sharing all the videos. Have you found any with the Kleya actress?
Only took Palpatine about 9 months to shut down an entire wing of the Republic's government that had been around for thousands of years!Quad Dog said:
Pretty crazy that now we know the rebellion found out about the Death Star like 2 weeks before they destroyed it, and it was only fired 3? times. What a colossal failure by the Empire.
And if the rebels had just read the opening crawl to Star Wars, they wouldn't have had to go to all that trouble to find out about it.Quad Dog said:

In the EU (not-canon) they could use jump vector plus the fuel burn from the engines accelerating to light speed to extrapolate the jump coordinates. Given the necessary haste during the escape, the rebels likely took whatever route was quickest to calculate the lightspeed jump (Tatooine). The Empire would have looked at all planets along the same path, did some quick math, and guessed Tatooine as the most likely jump and gone their themselves to try to ambush them. I don't know how the lightspeed engines compare between a Star Destroyer and a Corellian Corvette, but it's also possible that the Imperials actually reached Tatooine first and caught them coming out of hyperspace.superaggie73 said:
Quick question. So I've finished watching Andor, rewatched Rogue One, and now I'm starting A New Hope. First scene and Leia's ship is under attack from Vader's Star Destroyer. If Leia's ship took off to hyperspace at the end of Rogue One, how did it get caught so quickly?

Which is why they had a second Death Star being built in parallel.
First rule in government spending: why build one when you can have two at twice the price?

Just finished it, still trying to process it all.
I think the simplest way to put it is that it's the best thing in the Star Wars universe since empire. ANH and ESB only get the nod becuase they created this from scratch which was remarkable…but plot wise, story telling, this may be the best thing that's come out of this universe. It redefined the entire SW canon for me. I would say now that the arc from Andor the series, to the R1 movie, through ANH is the best "trilogy", and it's not really even close. It's the actual story to be told, everything else was "extra", even ESB and it's amazing twist. It was the rise of the rebellion and their eventual victory, which is the heart of what SW is. All of the metaphysical stuff is still there too in R1 and ANH.
And to all the points I've made over the past few years of tragic Kathleen Kennedy mediocrity, they did it without even mentioning the force until the final ten minutes, and even then it was in passing. No dark side, and they did it without all the over the top nostalgia (no sign of R2 or C-3PO for once), with more adult stories and themes etc. I truly hope this helps wake them up to what is possible, it's an absolutely endless universe of possibilities with decent story telling.
Even better question if leah was fleeing from the battle how could she claim to be on a diplomatic mission.superaggie73 said:

maybe they weren't caught as quickly as we think? Feasible this occurred maybe within a few days of rogue one and they likely wouldn't want to give away Yavin and be in a rush to get back to base in case they were being tracked…AustinScubaAg said:Even better question if leah was fleeing from the battle how could she claim to be on a diplomatic mission.superaggie73 said:

Not something I noticed myself, but I've seen people say that the blaster Andor shoots Krennic with was Bix's blaster.
Pottery.
I'm sure there are more than 1 Corellian corvette flying around the galaxy. They could program the computer to say they were coming from Alderaan and claim it's a case of mistaken identity.AustinScubaAg said:Even better question if leah was fleeing from the battle how could she claim to be on a diplomatic mission.superaggie73 said:
