How do we think this team is going to perform the rest of this season, especially given the Kneeland situation? Do we think they are going to be motivated to do this for their friend, or simply pack it up and move onto next year?

Man, they are a complete wildcard. Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised by anything.
I am sure they will be motivated, but that won't make up for the lack of talent across the D.....

A good confidence booster to come back against geno Smith and a bad offensive line. Plus Cowboys should be able to score forcing Vegas into a more pass heavy script.
Wonder if Carroll is regretting taking that job. Obviously a lot of weaknesses and they probably weren't making the playoffs regardless, but thought he'd have them more competitive in year 1

I think he's a good thrower of the football, but he needs to be in a scheme that will help him read defenses and take advantage of his big arm and legs (cough cough Heupel or Kiffin).
I don't think you draft a QB in the first 3 rounds until Dak starts to show signs of decline. He may have another 5+ years in him.
