Bain is maybe the only DE/Edge player that could truly fall anywhere near us imo, and I still highly doubt that. Arvell Reese and David Bailey will likely test off the charts so I don't see them making it past pick six in all honesty. Bain might not flash quite like Reese or Bailey, so he could looked over a bit, but he's still so good I don't' see ANY chance Washington, New Orleans, KC, Cincy and Miami ALL pass on him. The next edge player that could be available is Faulk imo, whether you like him or hate him.
Downs is the interesting one. Again, I highly doubt he's available at 12 because without a doubt one of the four to five best players in this draft, but could see him get to 10 just because he's a safety and some of those teams probably don't need a safety that high.
Realistically I think we will have our choice of CBs, maybe one DE and Sonny Styles, and personally don't think we should be spending a top 12 pick on a CB when I think our biggest need is a playmaker in the front seven. We could be a little hampered at 12 is all I am trying to say. One of my arguments for Faulk is not only that he's a high ceiling player and young, but also because you have the 20th pick as well. It allows you to take that massive swing.
I agree. Maybe the Tennessee CB at 12? He's supposed to be elite right?
Like what was said above. We need a S, CB, LB, and I'll add Rush End.
Bain is great, and I said before I'd be happy with him, but like Faulk - these are power guys. I'd almost like a 3-3-5 style defense with what we have in our DTs. With a true rush end. Cassius Howell gets me excited if we can get him later and fill a couple of those others positions.. but Howell may be a riser once he tests. I'm sure there are a few versatile pass rushers that we can move around
